I Know
Johnny Kidd Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I know you don't want me no more
No more, no no more
And I don't want to be hurt anymore
Anymore
I, I've been a fool
Everything I did was so wrong
If I can't love you right, baby
I don't have to love you at all

Well, I know you don't want me no more
No more, no no more
And if there had to be someone loving you more
Loving you more
If there's no use in me crying now
All because you have to put me down
If you don't want me no more baby
Ain't no use in your hangin' round

(instrumental break)

Well, I know you don't love me no more
No more, no no more
And I don't want to be hurt anymore
Anymore
I, I've been a fool
Everything I did was so wrong
If I can't love you right, baby
I don't have to love you at all

Yeah, but I know, yeah I know
Know know know, know know know
I know you don't love me,

You don't love me anymore
(improvise to fade)

Overall Meaning

The above lyrics are from the song "I Know" by Johnny Kidd. It starts with the singer acknowledging that he knows that the person he loves no longer wants him. He then expresses that he doesn't want to be hurt anymore and that he has been a fool, acknowledging that everything he did was wrong. The singer even goes to the extent of saying that if he can't love the person right, he doesn't want to love them at all.

The second verse is a repetition of the first, reinforcing the idea that the person doesn't love him anymore, and he doesn't want to be hurt by them anymore. He acknowledges that someone else might love the person more than he ever could, and if that were to happen, there is no use in him crying or holding on to the past. In the final verse, the singer reiterates that he doesn't want to be hurt anymore and acknowledges that he was a fool. He ends by saying that he knows the person no longer loves him and improvises the lines to fade.

Overall, the song conveys pain and heartbreak. The lyrics are simple, direct, and honest. The singer acknowledges his faults, accepts that he was wrong, and tries to find closure by accepting that the person doesn't love him anymore.

I'm a Japanese teenager girl.
My favorite Japanese guitarist respected Mick Green.
So I learned about Johnny Kidd & The Pirates.
I wanted to listen to various songs from this band and I bought the best album CD
And now I like it!
There are very few Japanese who are aware of it
So I think that it would be better if the goodness of this is conveyed to them.
(Maybe my English is something wrong.
But please don't care about it.)
