Don't worry baby
Jon Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

My baby don't swing that way
Only want our privacy

My baby's ready willing all the time
She captivates my heart
And she blows my mind
She's a little kinky girl
Love her if you dare
When it comes to gettin' down
My baby and I don't share

One on one
We share the ride we both provide
All night long
We take our time we do it right
We don't need nobody else besides ourselves
All we need
Is our favorite fantasy

CHORUS
My baby don't rock like that
We don't want nobody else sharin' our sack
My baby don't rock like that
We don't want nobody else sharing our secrets
My baby don't rock like that
She don't want nobody else seein' her tat
My baby don't rock like that
No, no, no

My girl's a naughty girl but she ain't cheap
And we both get nervous around each others heat
We like gettin' our party started
We like tryin' new things
But when it comes to making love
My girl and I don't swing, no, no

One on one
We share the ride we both provide
All night long
We take our time we do it right
We don't need nobody else besides ourselves
All we need
Is our favorite privacy

CHORUS OUT
My baby don't rock like that
We don't want nobody else sharin' our sack
My baby don't rock like that
We don't want nobody else sharing our secrets
My baby don't rock like that
She don't want nobody else seein' her tat
My baby don't rock like that
No, no, no

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Jon's song Don't Worry Baby feat. Jessica Folcker speak to a very intimate and private relationship between two individuals. The first verse emphasizes the exclusivity and privacy of the relationship, with the line "Only want our privacy." The second verse adds some hints of sexual exploration and experimentation, with "She's a little kinky girl, love her if you dare" and "We like trying new things," but also emphasizes the one-on-one nature of the relationship with "My girl and I don't swing."

The chorus emphasizes the same themes, with "We don't want nobody else sharing our secrets" and "We don't need nobody else besides ourselves." The use of the phrase "rock like that" in the chorus suggests a certain type of lifestyle or sexual preferences that the couple is purposely avoiding. Overall, the song conveys a sense of trust and exclusivity within the relationship, with a focus on intimacy and privacy.

I was fortunate to have more than one master class 60's era group around. The Beach Boys was certainly one of them.
I still remember the cover photo on the one I had, Sufin Safari. It was 5 of them (no Al Jardine in this one) in and on an old yellow pickup truck, parked on a beach.
The two perched the highest are holding a surfboard at their side, poised in keeping a lookout over the water.
It was decades later that I got the punchline: It was mostly a prop and marketing marketing tool. Brian supposedly lived close to the beach, but never spent much time there. I was duped--ha ha.
I read that Dennis was the only one who surfed.
This was all back in my early teens, when I had to think hard before buying even a single 45 or two. So, being able to buy an album was really a rare treat.
At that time, I remember owning that 1 Beach Boys album, 1 Four Seasons album, and 2 albums by Gary Lewis and the Playboys. Fortunately again, the LP's didn't wear out from all the playing. I sure tried, though.
Later, of course, as an adult, I was able to afford a lot more than only four LP's. But, the ones I just named are still favorites. I never grew out of them.
I think I bought one of the ones by Gary Lewis myself, in the discount section--it had been out a while. I know I didn't buy all 4 of them, though. And, I don't remember where I got them. A couple could have been gifts, or hand me downs from my older sister.
I must have had Beatles records. I don't remember any details about those at all.
An older relative lent me a Sears Silvertone electric guitar and amp when he left for Vietnam. I'm happy to say he made it back. And, he saw I was enjoying them when he did. So, he said I could keep them. I wasn't a real fast learner. But, I got better--enough that I learned to play some of the songs on those albums.
I count music as a gift, to say the least. Maybe more like a friend. Some of the bumps in the road were large. It happens. Music served both to soothe, and smooth them. I remain very grateful.

I'm 55: A decade younger than when my older peers (by 8-10 years) loved the Sh*T out of this song.
(10+ years is a LIFETIME when you're young.)
This song is a CLASSIC ----no matter one's age/stage.
Please contextualize historical, political, artistic, economic, personal, etc., influences of ANY day in US history (and world!) when you comment.
Get out there and TAKE CHANCES to be loved, hurt, disgusted, inspired, disappointed, excited, interested, etc.
Decency persists, and we are still ONE nation.
Social media is killing US all.
America is still sane. "Don't worry Baby."
Be kind this Thanksgiving.

Lyrics:

Well, it’s been building up inside of me
For, oh, I don’t know how long
I don’t know why, but I keep thinking
Something’s bound to go wrong
But she looks in my eyes
And makes me realize

And she says (Don’t worry, baby)
“Don’t worry, baby
(Don’t worry, baby)
Everything will turn out alright”
(Don’t worry, baby)
Don’t worry, baby
(Don’t worry, baby)

I guess I should’ve kept my mouth shut
When I started to brag about my car
But I can’t back down now because
I pushed the other guys too far
She makes me come alive
And makes me wanna drive

When she says(Don’t worry, baby)
“Don’t worry, baby
(Don’t worry, baby)
Everything will turn out alright”
(Don’t worry, baby)
Don’t worry, baby
(Don’t worry, baby)

She told me “Baby, when you race today
Just take along my love with you
And if you knew how much I loved you
Baby, nothing could go wrong with you”
Oh, what she does to me
When she makes love to me

And she says (Don’t worry, baby)
“Don’t worry, baby
(Don’t worry, baby)
Everything will turn out alright
(Don’t worry, baby)
Don’t worry, baby “
(Don’t worry, baby)
Everything will turn out alright
(Don’t worry, baby)
Don’t worry, baby
(Don’t worry, baby)
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooooh
