I'll Find My Way Home
Jon Lyrics

Am I so lost in my sin
You ask me where did I fall
I'll say I can't tell you when
But if my spirit is lost
How will I find what is near
Don't question I'm not alone
Somehow I'll find my way home
My sun shall rise in the east
So shall my heart be at peace
And if you're asking me when
I'll say it starts at the end
You know your will to be free
Is matched with love secretly
And talk will alter your prayer
Somehow you'll find you are there.
Your friend is close by your side
And speaks in far ancient tongue
A seasons wish will come true
All seasons begin with you
One world we all come from
One world we melt into one
Just hold my hand and we're there
Somehow we're going somewhere
Somehow we're going somewhere
You ask me where to begin
Am I so lost in my sin
You ask me where did I fall
I'll say I can't tell you when
But if my spirit is strong
I know it can't be long
No questions I'm not alone
Somehow I'll find my way home
Somehow I'll find my way home
Somehow I'll find my way home
Somehow I'll find my way home
The lyrics of "I'll Find My Way Home" by Jon & Vangelis carry a message of hope and perseverance despite feeling lost or disconnected. The song begins with the singer acknowledging their sense of confusion and uncertainty, unable to pinpoint where they went wrong or how they became lost. However, rather than dwelling on this feeling of lostness, the singer declares their determination to find their way home, to find a sense of direction and purpose.
The second verse speaks to the idea that finding one's way home involves finding inner peace and freedom, which in turn leads to a sense of love and unity with others. The singer seems to suggest that this journey towards inner peace and love is ongoing, and that it requires a willingness to let go of negativity and embrace positive change.
The final verse takes a more mystical turn, as the singer speaks of a friend who speaks in an ancient language and makes wishes come true. This is suggestive of the idea that finding one's way home requires both a sense of personal determination and an openness to the magic and mystery of life.
Overall, the lyrics of "I'll Find My Way Home" are hopeful and optimistic, suggesting that even in the darkest of times, there is always a path towards greater meaning and fulfillment.

In 1998 I was in Beaumont hospital with cancer waiting to go for the operation the next day. I just wanted to go home as I was afraid. So I went down to the radio station in the hospital and asked them to play this song for me. It really calmed me down and made me feel that I would make it home. Its now 24 years later and all is good. So thank you Jon and Vangelis you helped save me :)
