It took it's toll but bam was already an addict when dunn died. He admitted to sneaking alcohol into a dry set when steve-o was freshly sober. Hell he even got a DUI in 2018. I can be nearly blackout drunk and still know I shouldn't be driving.

I'm not sure if Bam's last name was accidentally or intentionally mispronounced. Addiction can cause a dual identity in someone. Clean & sober vs. Drunk & high Bam.
I think Steve-O would have gotten pissed off if he was in Bam's position too. Bam lost his best friend at a time when they were both partying hard. I get why it's hard for him to stay clean and sober. Dunn dying is only a small part of many other things that are part of his addiction. When he's ready he will stop or he will end up in jail, an institution, or die. I'm sure it's as hard for his friends to watch as it is for him to be him. Bam needs to "need" to stop and he's the only person who can do that. If he can't do it for himself he will do it for his kid if he can, addiction is tough. Everyone has their own problems. Steve O wasn’t as bad off as Bam. Bam uses substances to cope with anxiety, stress, the need to perform, and depression. He’s been at it a long time, and now likely connects the use of these substances with the need to function. It’s a tough place to be at since in his mind, there’s always another event that needs his attention and necessitates the use of the substances, which gives him the self-permission he needs to continue using.

Never a fan of Bam in Jackass anyway. Most of his stunt involves April and Phil, the parent, whether doing bad things to them or just simply being rude.

I know you Westerners think that calling out your parent's name like a friend is normal, but things that he did over the years, there's suppose to be a limit on how rude and disrespect can you be to your parents, even by your open-minded set.

He's not wrong tho....it was CKY and Big Brother skateboarding magazine that started it all.
