At a young age, the Amsterdam based artist, was introduced to music by learning how to play the violin, piano and guitar. Simultaneously, he got into singing and songwriting to turn his thoughts into art. Fast forward to the present, he is allowing listeners a look into his mind through his mellow melodic contemporary pop music. Whilst his songwriting process starts with a piano or guitar, the 1980s inspired production accentuates the emotions behind his lyrics. His musical storytelling touches topics such as love, mental health and self-discovery. His next single “One more time”, to be released at the end of 2021, will mark the start of a new chapter in which visual content will introduce a new dimension to his storytelling. Whilst working on his debut EP, Joost is working on various minimalist catchy pop singles that will be released in the coming year.
