I'll know that you won't mean it
A game of hide and seek, mmh
You know before you speak
So many different reasons
I'll let you take the lead, I'll let you
Fall like domino, fold the antidote
Say you have to go, I can stay and call up
I'm a loaded gun, now we're having fun
Now we're on the run thanks to everyone
I'll pull up at one if you left the light on
She's so far from my seeing
Up in my nose, it's bleeding
Stuck in a nosebleed, bleeding
I was upstairs, you were upset
Wеnt too far from my seeing
Up all night, no sleeping
Stuck in a nosebleed, bleeding
I was upstairs, you were upset
You were running at the foreland
But you left in the morning, mmh
Didn't even want it
But you're just so great performing, oh
Fall like dominoe, fold the antidote
No one let me know, this is rock and roll
Say you have to go, I can stay and call up (mmh)
I'm a loaded gun, now we're having fun
Now we're on the run thanks to everyone
I'll pull up at one if you left the light on
She's so far from my seeing
Up in my nose, it's bleeding
Stuck in a nosebleed, bleeding
I was upstairs, you were upset
Went too far from my seeing
Up all night, no sleeping
Stuck in a nosebleed, bleeding
I was upstairs, you were upset
She's so far from my seeing (seeing)
Up in my nose, it's bleeding (bleeding)
Stuck in a nosebleed, bleeding
I was upstairs, you were upset (whoa, no, no, no)
Went too far from my seeing (yeah, yeah)
Up all night, no sleeping
Stuck in a nosebleed, bleeding (yeah)
I was upstairs, you were upset
Take it all out on me
I'll know that you won't mean it
A game of hide and seek, mmh
The lyrics to Josh Levi's song "NOSEBLEED" depict a tumultuous relationship where one person is experiencing intense emotions and struggling to keep up. The singer is willing to bear the brunt of the other person's anger and frustration, even though they know it's not genuine. It's like a game of hide and seek, where the other person knows what they want to say before they even speak. Despite the various reasons causing the ups and downs in the relationship, the singer allows the other person to take the lead.
The metaphor of a nosebleed is used throughout the song to represent the disorienting and chaotic nature of their relationship. The singer feels detached and distant from their own understanding, as if they are so far away from comprehending what's going on. The constant bleeding in their nose signifies a constant state of confusion and turmoil. The line "I was upstairs, you were upset" suggests a physical and emotional distance between them, where the singer is separated from the other person who is experiencing distress.
Overall, "NOSEBLEED" portrays a relationship filled with unpredictability, emotional imbalance, and a sense of being overwhelmed. It captures the struggle of trying to understand and navigate the dynamics of a complex partnership.
