I'm not gonna lie. I cried.
I've spent many years away from the main series game. Last game I played was black 2.
I bought a switch just to play this game.
And after the final cutscene at the pools, being forced back to the title screen just to hear this.
It was very very emotional.
Pokemon was my first video game, on the gameboy advanced sp.
A cool green cartridge that stood out, Emerald. I still play a rom of it every now and then. All these years. Pokemon go and unite. The shows and movies. It never went away for me. I just hadn't hopped back into the games for a while. Experiencing this future version of pokemon. It was amazing. So this song really made my cry a deep emotional weep. It hurt, in a very good way. Idk how to explain it. Like a very old part of me was so happy about something it held onto for so long. It may be weird to say but. I'm grateful to exist. I'm grateful for this world of dreams and creations. For a moment I accept there could be a god, and I thank them for putting me here of all places. Hopefully someday I can be in a world where pokemon are the default natural inhabitants. Where I can experience something dreamed up here, in the flesh. Thats what this song means to me. It's not real, it's just a game. But it is. To me, for a moment.
It's everything. And I'm grateful I could feel that. It means something, when the world makes you feel like nothing
