From a young age K-Bust studied classical piano, and built her skills as a lyricist, composer and interpreter. She was also influenced by music of the 70s and 80s – pop icons such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, as well as old-school soul like Marvin Gaye – all of whom played a major role in developing her unique musical style.
She moved to Montreal, Canada in 2003 in order to dedicate herself to music, and quickly made a name for herself on the local scene. Among her many successes, she opened for Los Prisoneros (the biggest Chilean rock band), and performed at various music festivals in Montreal and Toronto. All the while she continued her professional vocal training, and was awarded “best author-composer-interpreter” by the McGill University jury in 2007.
Since 2008, she has been performing live and on the radio for events like the Chilean earthquake benefit concert, World Music Day and “The Apollo Nights” show, where she sang alongside Alan Prater, a former Michael Jackson musician and back-up vocalist.
After collaborating with many local Montreal artists, K- Bust’s career really took off in 2009 when she recorded a song by Benoit Jutras (Cirque du Soleil composer) for the new show of Franco Dragone; (The House of Dancing Water) in Macao, Hong-Kong. Shortly after, she joined forces with renowned Montreal producer Sonny Black, the man behind the international success of artist such as Corneille, Dubmatique, Sheryfa Luna, K’maro, Shy’m, and Kulcha Connection.
Sonny and K-Bust developed an extraordinary musical chemistry, which drove the 11 powerful songs they co-produced for her debut album “Urban Stories.” Revealing a combination of Alicia Keys neo-soul sensibility, Gwen Stefani’s urban style, the feisty attitude of Madonna and Afro-Latin sounds, the album is a faithful reflection of K-Bust’s diverse personality. With “Urban Stories”, K-Bust is ready to invade the pop-music world market.

I am here… sinking in this sorrow
Feeling the hell
Where I’ve fell in
And I am here...
At the same place where you left me
Crawling in my skin
Bridge:
My tears aren’t enough
To put out the flames
Of this cruel suffering
Maybe I deserve to be burnin’
To be burnin’...
Chorus:
I’m fallin’ apart (I can getcha out my mind)
I’m fallin’ apart (and it hurts so much inside)
I’m fallin’ apart, I’m fallin’ apart
I’m fallin’ apart (ohh)
Since I don’t have ...your love
Verse II:
And I am here...paying for my sins
Wanting to disappear trying to get out this
And I know it is too late to regret
Sorry for being so blind
Now I see you were the perfect guy
Bridge:
My cries aren’t enough
To wash away the pain Of this broken soul...
Maybe I deserve to be punished
To be punished...
Chorus:
I’m fallin’ apart (I can getcha out my mind)
I’m fallin’ apart (and it hurts so much inside)
I’m fallin’ apart, I’m fallin’ apart
I’m fallin’ apart (ohh)
Since I don’t have ...your love
Rap:
She got me falling
Crawling trying to get up calling for help
Gotta get that thought out my head
I never felt this lost and so soft
Girl really got me caught up in hell
I never played this game it's lame
I'm insane got me slayed in pain, I'm saying
I ain't been the same since she came
In my life and now the rain remains
How could it fade away
I'm now listed as day to day
My heart's on lay away
Don't even have a spade to play
Got clubbed into a daze
My love is true and babe
I'm wondering if a diamond would a have saved the day
Bridge ():
Chorus ():
Ending:
Spend my nights alone
And I’m still waiting, waiting
to see your face again
Oh baby … baby
Please come back home
Spend my nights alone
And I’m still waiting, waiting
to see you … again
Cause since you’ve been gone
I’m fallin’ apart
I’m fallin’ apart
The song "Fallin'" by K-Bust is a powerful piece about heartbreak and the aftermath of a failed relationship. It opens with the singer in a state of despair, sinking in sorrow and feeling the pain of a recent breakup. She is still in the same place where her ex had left her, unable to move on and crawling in her skin to ease the agony. The bridge signifies her helplessness and the anguish that haunts her, as she realizes that her tears and cries are not enough to put out the flames of this cruel suffering. She feels she may even deserve to be punished, burned for her wrong choices.
In the chorus, the singer confesses to falling apart since the loss of her love. She can't seem to get her ex out of her mind, and it hurts so much inside that she feels like she's disintegrating. The second verse delves into her guilt and regret, as she pays for her mistakes in trying to come to terms with the end of the relationship. The pain of losing her perfect guy is all-consuming, and she feels like she's being punished for her blindness, with her cries not enough to wash away the pain.
The rap interlude portrays the male perspective, as the singer's ex has also been affected by the breakup. He's got his heart on layaway and is wondering if things could have been different if he'd tried harder. The bridge and chorus are repeated, highlighting the devastation that both protagonists feel since the breakup. The ending is poignant, with the singer still waiting for her ex's return, spending her nights alone, and hoping to see him again.
