Potential
K-G and the Band Lyrics

Si tu veux apprendre a me connaitre, baby faudrai que tu t'y mettes
Il faudrai que tu t'y mettes
C'est pas si facile pour une fille si belle
Je sais pas quoi dire je t'ai dans la tete
Tu me fais de l'effet yeah
You got potential baby
You got potential
Baby
Tell me what you like about me
I'll give you all the space that you need
Baby watch your neck
While you giving head
I hope this ain't the end
Saw a message left on read
Now she wanna call on my phone
And tell me how men been treating her wrong
Baby when you gonna come home?
Yeah i know how you get when you speak in that tone
Ahhh I don't wanna see what they know
Show me how you go and make that money on a pole
You don't have to carry all that pressure on your own
No I could never judge
Cuz you're doing it alone
Il faudrai que tu t'y mettes
C'est pas si facile pour une fille si belle
Je sais pas quoi dire je t'ai dans la tete
Tu me fais de l'effet yeah
You got potential baby

You got potential
Baby

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Potential" by K-G and the Band explore themes of self-reflection, longing for validation, and the complexities of relationships. The song starts with the singer asking someone to tell them what they think about them, expressing a desire to know if they are missed and thought of when the other person is alone late at night. The artist then describes how they try to escape their thoughts by getting high and transcending into the sky. They assert their identity by claiming, "Oui c'est moi" (Yes, it's me), and suggest that if the other person wants to get to know them, they should make an effort.

The second verse shifts focus to the other person, with the singer encouraging them to express their thoughts and desires. They promise to give the person space, explicitly referencing oral sex but also hoping that their connection is not at an end. The mention of a message being left on read indicates some form of miscommunication or disconnect. The singer then expresses their understanding of the person's pain and frustration with how men have treated them, asking when they will come home and mentioning the tone they adopt. The lyrics further emphasize the singer's non-judgmental attitude and willingness to support the other person, acknowledging the pressures they face and assuring them they are not alone.

Overall, "Potential" delves into the complexities of desire, communication, and the search for validation within a relationship. It illustrates a yearning for connection and understanding, as well as the difficulties of navigating emotions and expectations.

As someone who knows Mandarin, you are killing me with how you say Wouxun.
X has an English "SH" sound. Therefor xun is English is SHUN as in reject or avoid.
Just say "O" for the first 3 letters. An English speaker won't here the slight difference.

Not being a jerk, just helping people learn.
Keep up the great content!

I used to say "walks-on" and someone came along, a couple of years ago, and told it was "oh-shang"
Since then I have been told it was "ocean" or "oh-shang" or similar.
I honestly don't know, I don't speak Mandarin.

Jay Barr

So, it's "oh'-shun". Thanks. Now, if I could just spell "shea-shea"....

Ricky Mac

I don't even speak mandarin and it kills me. Anyway this Ouchain HT looks interesting. BAHAHA

Mr Dave

The Japanese companies were smart enough to name their stuff so English speakers could easily pronounce it (Sony, Panasonic etc). Chinese companies -- not so much.

Steve Mac

Would they “hear” the difference if they were there, instead of “here?

Had my KG-UV8H for about a month and its great. I can hit a repeater over 40 mile away no problem. I did find out that it was made as a 10 watt radio but Buy 2 Way had them reduce it to 8. Mine puts out over 10 watts on 2 meter.
