Chasing our forevers on the feathers of a bird
Pursuing our eternal happiness or dreams with the fleeting and fragile support of external factors.

Amnesia cuz we wonder if forever had occurred
Feeling forgetful because we question if everlasting fulfillment has ever truly happened.

Easier, would we want it? Or walk around haunted
If it were easier, would we even desire it? Or would we rather be burdened or troubled by our pursuit of it?

By the fact that if we had it we don't have the right to flaunt it
We are restrained from showcasing or bragging about our possessions or achievements, even if we attain them.

Does the lack of light smite or give the might to write a sonnet
Does the absence of brightness hinder or empower us to create a poetic expression?

Is the struggle real? Is the joy like some type of vomit
Is the hardship or challenge genuine? Is the happiness comparable to an unpleasant release of emotions?

We return to? Just to remind us of what we burn through
We revisit certain experiences or situations to serve as a reminder of what we have exhausted or consumed.

A man's only as big as the experience he turns to to push forward
A person's growth and progress are contingent upon the experiences they rely on to propel themselves forward.

Push buttons and navigate. Had a nap of late
Taking control and making decisions. Recently took a break or rested.

Seen the excuses we fabricate
Recognizing the justifications or explanations we create for ourselves.

Just to saturate reality, I'm glad we made the gallery
Merely to fill or immerse ourselves in reality, I am grateful for the experiences or moments we have created and captured.

Cuz all these low points make the high points a fallacy
Because the difficult or challenging moments diminish the significance or authenticity of the euphoric moments.

Carelessly floating away
Drifting without any concern or worry.

Disillusion is the move with which I cope for today
Managing or dealing with the present through a state of disappointment or loss of illusions.

I aspire or desire to express something.

Currently, the negative aspect is the convergence or culmination of everything.

Yet not feeling entitled or worthy of experiencing the exhilaration felt by a runner during intense exertion.

Not having your odds in the green with the numbers guy
Not having favorable chances or probabilities when dealing with someone knowledgeable about statistics or calculations.

Not having the guilt of remorse if you wanna die
Not feeling burdened by regrets or remorse if one wishes to end their own life.

Wanna cry? Its summertime, the rain hide your tears
Do you want to cry? During summertime, the rain conceals or masks your tears.

A smile is used just to contain how you feel
A smile is adopted solely to conceal or suppress one's true emotions.

So what is real, the rain or the rainbow
What represents reality or truth, the rain or the colorful phenomenon of a rainbow?

Foreign emotions in oceans boasting cuz they came on the same boat
Emotions originating from different sources exhibiting pride or arrogance since they all originated together.

That's like trophies boasting that they came with Usain Bolt
Similar to trophies bragging about their significance because they were in the presence of Usain Bolt.

And though we oppose we stay promoting the angle
Despite encountering opposition, we persistently advocate for a particular perspective or approach.

Evolving in our poses as we make for the end goal
Adapting or changing our stances or postures as we strive towards the ultimate objective.

Behind us is the hope every time that our mans go
Each time our companions or partners depart, hope remains behind us.

I possessed a powerful and inspiring vision for the future.

That one day this nation will rise up to live out the true meaning of its creed
A vision where, someday, this country will fulfill the genuine essence of its principles and beliefs.

We firmly believe in these principles that declare the inherent equality of all individuals.

Hands high as we starving our self
Raising our hands in hunger or desperation

Make it through the system just to kindergarten ourselves
Navigating through the system or societal structures, only to find ourselves back at a basic level of understanding or development.

Achieving success or approval, only to feel the need to apologize or seek forgiveness from ourselves.

And we're easy on the world just to be hard on ourselves
We are lenient or gentle towards the world, but criticize or impose hardships on ourselves.

A carton of wealth, a wife and kids is all it seems life can give
Life appears to offer nothing more than a limited amount of material wealth, a spouse, and children.

It all seems to end there, even when you're a type of wiz
Everything seems to conclude or reach its limit despite possessing exceptional skills or abilities.

Confusion at that type of fix, we suffer for a life of bliss
Feeling perplexed or uncertain in such a predicament, we endure hardships in pursuit of a fulfilling life.

You're welcome to like a wish. What type of life is this
You are free or encouraged to desire or aspire for something. What kind of life is this?

Martin Luther must have asked, before somebody bust his cap
Martin Luther King Jr. likely wondered or pondered this before someone assassinated him.

His future needed salt, fate said 'where the mustard at?'
His destiny required something extra or flavorful, but fate questioned its availability.

As a teen I mastered that, never looked past the fact
During my teenage years, I attained proficiency or expertise in that area and never overlooked the reality of it.

I could chase my dream but I would be an outcast to rap
I had the opportunity to pursue my dream, but it would cause me to be an outsider or rejected by the world of rap music.

But as the sun sets on a son set for King
However, as the day comes to a close for a son destined to resemble a king

I'm ready for the dark, let the sunset begin
I am prepared for the challenges or hardships, let the difficult times commence

You'll never see the day when my sun sets within
You will never witness the day when my inner light or spirit diminishes
