Everybody tells me that it's so hard to make it
It's so hard to break in, there's no way to fake it
Everybody tells me that it's wrong what I'm feeling
I shouldn't believe in the dreams that I'm dreaming
I hear it everyday, I hear it all the time
But they're never gonna change my mind, oh
Tell me, tell me, tell me something I don't know
Something I don't know, something I don't know
Tell me, tell me, tell me something I don't know
Something I don't know, something I don't know
How many inches in a mile?
What it takes to make you smile?
Get you not to treat me like a child, baby
Tell me, tell me, tell me something I don't know
Something I don't know, something I don't know
Tell me, tell me something I don't know
Tell me, tell me something I don't know
Everybody tells me I don't know what I'm doing
This life I'm pursuing the odds I'll be losing
Everybody tells me that it's one in a million
One in billion, one in a zillion
I hear it everyday, I hear it all the time
I'm never gonna amount to much
But they're never gonna change my mind, oh
Tell me, tell me, tell me something I don't know
Something I don't know, something I don't know
Tell me, tell me, tell me something I don't know
Something I don't know, something I don't know
How many inches in a mile?
What it takes to make you smile?
Get you not to treat me like a child, baby
Tell me, tell me, tell me something I don't know
Something I don't know, something I don't know
She hit the track like a surfer making waves
Like cold Medina make 'em say, I'm ready
Are you ready for it? Yes, I'm ready for it
Really ready for it? Yes, I'm ready for it
Let's get ready for it
I'm on my way I know I'm gonna get there someday
It doesn't help when you say it won't be easy
Tell me, tell me, tell me something I don't know
Something I don't know, something I don't know
Tell me, tell me, tell me something I don't know
Something I don't know, something I don't know
How many inches in a mile?
What it takes to make you smile?
Get you not to treat me like a child, baby
Tell me, tell me, tell me something I don't know
Something I don't know, something I don't know
The song "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" by Kidz Bop is all about ignoring the naysayers and believing in oneself. The opening lines suggest that people criticize and discourage the singer, saying that it's tough to make it big and they should not pursue their dreams. However, the singer believes in their potential and refuses to give up. They ask someone to tell them something they don't know, indicating their eagerness to learn and grow.
The chorus repeats this phrase, and the second verse adds further to the idea that people are trying to bring the singer down. Despite this, they remain determined and unshaken. The song includes the lines "I'm on my way, I know I'm gonna get there someday," which suggests that the singer is confident about their journey and eventual success. As the song progresses, it becomes clear that the singer is asking someone to teach them about a new experience or a fresh perspective.
The final part of the song consists of a rap verse that follows a similar theme. The rapper talks about taking charge, making things happen, and being prepared for whatever comes their way. The song concludes with a repetition of the earlier lines, showing that the singer is still striving to learn and grow.
