We Don't Talk Anymore
KIDZ BOP Kids Lyrics

We don't talk anymore, like we used to do
We don't laugh anymore
What was all of it for?
Oh, we don't talk anymore, like we used to do
I just heard you found the one you've been looking
You've been looking for
'Cause even after all this time I still wonder
Why I can't move on
Just the way you did so easily
Don't wanna know
Girl, look you're wearing tonight
He's holding onto your hands so tight the way I did before
The way I did before
I overlooked
Should've known your love was a game
Now I can't get you out of my brain
Oh, it's such a shame
That we don't talk anymore, we don't talk anymore
We don't talk anymore, like we used to do
We don't laugh anymore
What was all of it for?
Oh, we don't talk anymore, like we used to do
I just hope you're sitting next to somebody
Who knows how to love you like me
There must be a good reason that you're gone
Every now and then I think you might want me to come show up at your door
But I'm just too afraid that I'll be wrong
Don't wanna know
If you're looking into her eyes
She's holding onto your hands so tight the way I did before
I overlooked
Should've known your love was a game
Now I can't get you out of my brain
Oh, it's such a shame
We don't talk anymore (we don't, we don't)
We don't talk anymore (we don't, we don't)
We don't talk anymore, like we used to do
We don't laugh anymore (we don't, we don't)
What was all of it for? (We don't, we don't)
Oh, we don't talk anymore, like we used to do
Don't wanna know
If you're looking into her eyes
He's holding onto your hands so tight the way I did before
I overlooked
Should've known your love was a game
Now I can't get you out of my brain
Oh, it's such a shame
That we don't talk anymore (we don't, we don't)
We don't talk anymore (we don't, we don't)
We don't talk anymore, like we used to do
We don't laugh anymore (we don't, we don't)
What was all of it for? (We don't, we don't)
Oh, we don't talk anymore, like we used to do
We don't talk anymore
Girl, look you're wearing tonight
He's holding onto your hands so tight the way I did before
We don't talk anymore (I overlooked)
Should've known your love was a game
Now I can't get you out of my brain
Oh, it's such a shame
We don't talk anymore
The song "We Don't Talk Anymore" by KIDZ BOP Kids is a track that explores the theme of a break-up and moving on. The lyrics express the intense longing and regret that might come with a break-up, and the pain that lingers even after a significant period of time. The song speaks to the difficulty of getting over someone, especially when you hear about someone else's new love, and the emotions that come with confronting the fact that maybe the relationship didn't mean as much to the other person as it did to you.
The song begins with the repeated phrase "We don't talk anymore." This line is a metaphor for the distance that now exists between the two people who were once in a relationship. The singer expresses that they miss talking with the ex-partner, and the happiness that came with that. As the song progresses, the singer expresses their pain and jealousy over the fact that their ex-partner has found someone else, and wonders why they can't move on as easily.
The chorus is powerful, repeating the phrase "We don't talk anymore" and expressing a deep sense of loss. The lyrics point out that they don't laugh anymore and question what was the reason for the relationship in the first place. The chorus brings to light the theme that sometimes things don't work out the way we want them to, and sometimes people simply grow apart.
Overall, "We Don't Talk Anymore" is a song that explores the difficult emotions that come with a break-up. The lyrics, together with the catchy beat and melody, create a beautiful song that expresses a relatable message.
