Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9481 is to be kept in a box in the storage facilities of Research Sector-12, unless approved for removal, transportation and testing.
Testing of the object is only permitted with approval of 04 personnel (see SCP-9481 test log 4 note).
Description: SCP-9481 is an M9-Beretta pistol, packaged in a transparent plastic bag enclosing a cardboard sheet printed with advertisements of the product, with SCP-9481 strapped with 2 zip ties to the cardboard piece.
The packaging has shown thus far, not having any observable anomalous properties. The text on the cardboard piece reads "Say Goodbye to Surfaces! KITCHEN GUN (With laser sight, Night-Vision ACCESSORIES) for Sparkly Clean Kitchens.
SCP-9481 functions as a standard M9-Beretta in its 9mm projectile shooting capabilities requiring standard 9mm bullets to be used in its magazine, analysis of the mechanisms, components and materials show no difference from a standard M9-Beretta model, or any readings attainable by modern science.
Tests Performed with SPC-9481 showed the product working as advertised.
Shooting unclean surfaces and objects with SCP-9481 proved effective on the removal of dirt, grease, and general uncleanliness, requiring increasing amounts of shots, according to how unclean the surface or object was, although, shooting the surface/object, damaged it how a standard M9-beretta would, although without causing any mess or debris apart from the penetration of the bullets and its effects on the surface such as deformations and structural damages. The nature of SCP-9481 cleaning abilities is yet unknown.
Test log 1:
Target: A sink with substantial amounts of grease, spilled liquids and sauces, and other contaminants
Results: Shot with 3 projectiles, with each shot, the sink had contaminant materials gradually removed, disappearing from the surface, by the end of testing, the sink had 4 9mm projectile holes where SCP-9481 was aimed and shot.
Test log 2:
Target: Dishwasher containing dishes with different levels on impurities on its surfaces
Results: Shot 3 times, the dishwasher and all dishes contained, were free of any form of contaminants. The dishwasher had part of the motor damaged, and half of the dishes were damaged. no particles of any size from metal, rubber, plastic, or porcelain, apart from big parts broken from the original parts, were detected. the nature of such effect could not be identified
Test log 3:
Target: a common civilian vehicle after driving through a dirt road after heavy rain.
Results: Taking an entire clip to be emptied, The vehicle was free of any contaminants in any parts, including the interior, where no impurities and odors could be detected. The vehicle was damaged by the projectiles as normal.
Test log 4:
Target: Rodent of Mus musculus species after going through dirt and mud (common laboratory rat)
Results: Shot once, the Rodent died immediately after penetration. No amount of dirt or mud was pound on its hair, no blood was found on the rodent or on the testing area, the blood was found to be coagulated, and thus didn't spread, contaminating any surface.
Testing log 5:
Target: A sheep (Ovis aries) with dirty wool, contaminated by different types of paint, some considered impossible to remove without specific processes and solvents, which would damage the fur
Results: Requiring 4 shots for expected results, no trace of paint, dirt, mud, or any sort of impurities were detected on the sheep. Like the effect discovered in tasting log 4, no trace of blood spilled was found, being instantly coagulated in the wound after penetration
+NOTE on testing log 5: Any testing with object SCP-9481 clearance was raised to 04 personnel.
Addendum 1:
Advertised simply as "Kitchen gun", SCP-9481 Was found, being sold and distributed in Supermarkets in [][][][][][]-London. No shipment listings were found and any information about where the product came from could be found in any of the establishments documents. no staff recalled having such an item or stocking it.
The incident was investigated by Foundation, after reports of violation on gun control Laws being issued to the police and reviews on the product being found online, claiming its miraculous properties. all instances that could be traced, were confiscated by the Foundation, Investigations on the distributor of the items are in progress, with no success thus far.
