Shut Up
Karma.Connect Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

Shut me up quiet, you do
Love me and leave me, would you?
Twist me up, tickled inside
When everybody's outside
Everybody's outside

When somebody needs to listen
When somebody needs to talk
There's safety in silence here
When I won't feel so sure

Tie me up tightly, you do
Afraid that I'll get out, are you?
Wicked and watchful inside
Different on the outside
You're different on the outside

When somebody needs to listen
When somebody needs to talk
There's safety in silence here
When I won't feel so sure

Thoughts keep dripping and
I keep falling now
Something has to give
The sooner, the better now

Thoughts keep dripping and
Words keep falling now
Something has to give
The sooner, the better now

Keep me up wired, you do
Cornered and frightened of you
Cut up till I'm terrified
Laughing on the outside
Laughter's always outside

When somebody needs to listen, do you?
When somebody needs to talk
There's safety in silence here
When I won't feel so sure

Shut me up silent, you do
I want to be safe inside of you
Stripped until I'm petrified
I'm never going outside
Never going outside

Hey

Oh the sooner, the better now
The sooner, the better now
I'm never going outside

Never going outside
The sooner, the better now

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Shut up" by Karma.Connect delve into themes of control, manipulation, and the struggle to find a sense of safety and security in a tumultuous relationship. The first two stanzas detail a dynamic where the singer feels silenced and twisted by their partner, expressing a mixture of vulnerability and defiance. The imagery of being tied up and twisted inside indicates a feeling of being trapped and toyed with, while also hinting at a desire for intimacy and connection.

The chorus brings forth the idea of finding safety in silence, alluding to the singer's need for a sense of peace and refuge in the midst of emotional turmoil. The repetition of the lines "When somebody needs to listen, When somebody needs to talk" highlights a communication breakdown and the longing for understanding and validation within the relationship. The constant theme of feeling unsure and insecure suggests a deep emotional struggle and a craving for stability.

As the lyrics progress, the imagery becomes more intense and visceral, with mentions of feeling cornered, frightened, and terrified. The contrast between inner and outer appearances is highlighted, emphasizing the persona one presents to the world versus the reality of their inner turmoil. The repetition of "laughter's always outside" hints at a facade of happiness and normalcy that masks the inner pain and fear.

The final stanzas reveal a sense of resignation and acceptance of the current situation, with the singer admitting to being "never going outside" and seeking safety within the confines of the relationship. The urgency in the repeated refrain "The sooner, the better now" suggests a longing for resolution and release from the emotional entanglement. Ultimately, the lyrics capture a complex and poignant narrative of struggling to find one's voice and agency in the face of manipulation and control, all while yearning for a sense of inner peace and security.

This worked for me! The controller and Drone were paired.
1. Turn everything off.
2. Remove stabilizer / camera and remove camera from stabilizer
3. Turn on controller
4. Turn on drone
5. Wait for error to insert stabilizer. Insert ONLY the stabilizer
6. Wait for error to insert camera. Insert camera into stabilizer.
7. Drone will beep, blink and recognize
8. Wait for Drone to recalibrate stabilizer
9. Go fly!

Hello, everyone following many requests
"Why is it after following the video https://youtu.be/W3UtQrX5wpk my drone does not work and has a burning smell?"
Yes this video only solves a problem on the remote and not a problem in the KARMA drone,
We would like to point out that your drone is not designed to be switched on without flying, mainly for cooling electronic components; if ignition of the latter without cooling in flight the maximum is 10 minutes in an atmosphere at 20C° degrees and a minimum pause of 20 minutes before re-ignition of the latter and in flight maximum of 40 minutes in an atmosphere at 20C° degrees and a pause of at least 10 minutes before turning it on again. It is strongly recommended to remove the battery from the drone at the end of use to avoid forgetting to turn off the drone and thus overheating resulting in imperfect or destructive operation.

"why is it after the update that my KARMA drone broke down pairing?"
Small preamble any flash memory of any type has a limited number of writes because each write destroys a space (fuse cell) in the memory this is the basic principle of a flash memory. NAND UID encrypted flash memory is even more sensitive because continuous defragmentation is not possible due to the encryption property, this encryption is enforced by the FAA.
To try to explain to you the NAND flash memory encrypt to a number write delimit
and an update software requires a lot of batch writing in the NAND memory so all KARMA with a memory at the end of its life is dead by an update and all the others will arrive later at the end of life because the system writes continuously in the memory but much less than an update.
The write size: a system update requires 9.872e+12 minimum cycle a flight of the KARMA drone in log write in the memory 1.008e+6 minimum write cycle therefore 10 thousand times less.
So :
-a normal use of a flight written 10 thousand times less in NAND memory than a system update.
-a complete calibration request written 200 times less in NAND memory than a system update.
-a pairing request with the remote written 10 times less in NAND memory than a system update.
And an update when the KARMA drone is not in perfect working order leads to a lot of log writing in the NAND memory, this is very devastating for the memory. I hope to have helped you to understand the problem
So in conclusion the problem is software and hardware.
The end of life of any equipment that contains flash memory is defined, is usually very close to the end of the manufacturer's warranty (USB flash, SSD, Smartphone, today all the equipment ...). This is the biggest end-of-life programming problem. Our advice for complaint is article "the end of life defined programmed" the buyer not informed. A well-known example is the end of life of a USB key. Before the end no alert and at the end no more reading possible and no more writing possible, trash.
We have already written several posts in several forums concerning the specifications of the UID NAND encrypted memory and we have also written several posts in several forums concerning the encryption architecture of the very powerful KARMA system
We solve the problem in a definitive way because we replace the NAND flash Cryt UID memory by a new generation with 10 more depth of cluster.
Apologize our bad English

UDATE MAY 2021: I was able to get a replacement drone from GoPro. Please view my newest update on this issue here: https://youtu.be/T6fpfPT9QdY

@ChadwickRider

I purchased two additional batteries for it when they were on sale, spent like $200 additional for those... went to turn on the drone and out of nowhere it wouldn't pair. I didn't do anything, no updates, nothing, it just wouldn't pair. I've maybe flown it 3 times, total, pristine new condition. Contacted GoPro and they told me they don't support the drone anymore and that I'm shit outta luck. Offered me a 25% off coupon that was valid for 14 days... and told me to suck the $1200 I spent on the drone as a loss. Never again will I deal with their BS, worst customer service system on the planet.

@Angus-Ghoul

They send me a new drone and i have the same issue, what can I do :(

@dafleadr6149

It is a drone issue not a controller issue. You can find connecting drones for about 200. Do not replace the controllers

@tha1mastery

Im trying to follow this steps today as I just find out my drone is having the same issue. I haven’t use my karma in a few months and of all my drones, this is by far my favorite. We need to let gopro know that there are several of people who still love the karma and we would like to see them not giving up on such amazing device! ✌🏽

@dafleadr6149

Bluetooth module failure :(😢

@billymontz

Thank you, all for this information, especially Gavin! I will go over it more carefully. Here's a weird one. Trying to salvage what I could, I removed the gimbal/camera, which was not swinging into position at start up and inserted it into a charged, hand-held stabilizer, thinking I could use it on my bicycles, etc. It worked fine. It also worked fine when I plugged the assembly back into the drone and the second time. Time will tell. If any good has come of this, at all, it's the purchase of an Autel. Thanks again!

@ksolomon43

Thanks for your support bro congratulations on getting yours to fly. I repaired mine differently though. First off I had two thing wrong with mine. I was getting a error for landing leg not fully extended and no matter what I did I couldn’t get it to go away. So I bought a broken non pairing drone and switched out the circuit board on both sides of the drone that has the micro switches on them that tell the main board that the drone is is in the ready position. Second thing I did was change the complete main board out with the one that was supposedly not pairing and after one attempt it paired and it now works perfectly. I’m stoked. What I did see on my old board was some heat blueing from heat on one if the components I believe it was related to one of the pairing process. Total cost was 50.00 someone basically sold me their drone without controller gimble or camera. It was just for parts. Hope this helps. Figured that the drone is the drone sends the pairing signal so the issue must be with it. I also visually inspected every tape wire connection on the board and two of them had begun to turn color from corrosion I cleaned waterproofed and electrical glued them in place so they wouldn’t vibrate loose.

@bradalves1152

Hi Gavin, thanks for your awesome effort to rectify this issue, obviously looks like GoPro just want karma to go away, I tried your method but same problem as everyone else, looks like going to the dark side and will buy a dji 🤘🤘

@moontech2545

Man, thank you for this. It works perfectly. Also, I recommend doing the part where you plug the camera case with the drone turned off and it works anyways. It's better to do it this way, I didn't try it with the drone turned on because of short circuit risk. But, thank you very much for the video. Awesomely made it.
