Her music styles vary from indie rock, electro pop, grunge, pop, lounge music and techno.

Starting at age sixteen, Rose began work on her debut album, Because I Can, for V2 Records. The record's lead single, Overdrive, was released on October 21, 2003 with the album following on January 27, 2004. The album was met with mixed critical reception and moderate success leading to only one other single being released, I Like. In addition to this, Rose was also featured on the soundtracks of the films Mean Girls and Thirteen.

In 2005, Rose parted ways with V2 Records. She then started work on her band project, Candy Eyed, which was released on June 4, 2007 under independent record label, River Jones Music. Rose parted ways with the label shortly after the albums release for unknown reasons. Following her second partition, Rose started work on a third album titled Tangled But True. The album was expected to be released in 2009 under a new Japanese label, but was ultimately shelved. Currently Rose is in the process of recording a new album set to be released sometime this year.

Man I haven't listened to this in years, I loved the album so much when I was younger. I must've been around 12-13, had no idea she was only 16 when this came out, it's actually quite a very mature album (like on a Fiona Apple level type). I still remember all the lyrics to every song. Gotta check out her more recent stuff, good to know she's still doing music.
