Don't play that song
Kelly Clarkson Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Dont play that song for me
'Cuz it brings back memories
Of the days that I once knew
And all the days that I spent with you

Oh no, dont let it play (oh no)
It fills my heart with pain (it hurts)
Please stop it right away
'Cause I remember just what it said
It said darling ( darling I)
You know that ya lied (darling I)
Boy, ya know that ya lied (darling I)
You know that ya lied (ya lied) ya lied (ya lied) ya lied
I remember on our first date
You kissed me then you walked away
And I was only 17
And I never dreamed that he could be so mean

Oh darling (darlin...oh no)
Dont ya play it no more (play it no more)

Dont you dare play that song (dont play it no more)
oooo oooo oooo oh no (ya lie, ya lie) YA LIE...

Kelly Kelly Kelly! You give me chills. Truly the best American Idol champion. She totally knocked the ball right out of the park. Her rendition of this song was just smashing, maybe should have saved it for a future single hit. Imagine Kelly was just recovering from laryngitis, she had completely lost her voice the day before.
