If Only
Kenny & The Cling-Tones Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

In my life there had been
Lots of loving, so few friends
Wasted romance, wasted time
No lessons learned, so you keep in mind

Nothing ventured, nothing gained
No nothing grows without some rain
So let me give more than I take
Small price to pay for my mistakes

Oh, listen to the beating of your heart
It's rhymed with mine
There's a symphony inside us and
Our love is keeping time
So the song we dance
We're dancing like we really havе no choice
And I would sing the perfеct song if
Only my heart had a voice

Now life's too short and life's too long
To be somewhere you don't belong
So call it chance, or call it fate
But finding you was worth the wait

Oh listen to the beating of your heart
It's rhymed with mine
There's a symphony inside us and
Our love is keeping time
So the song we dance
We're dancing like we really have no choice
And I would sing the perfect song if
Only my heart had a voice

In your eyes I can see
Love's reflection perfectly

Oh listen to the beating of your heart
It's rhymed with mine
There's a symphony inside us and
Our love is keeping time
So the song we dance
We're dancing like we really have no choice
And I would sing the perfect song if
Only my heart had a voice

So the song we dance
We're dancing like we really have no choice
And I would sing the perfect song if
Only my heart had a voice

And I would sing my song if
Only my heart had a voice

Wow one of the most emotional stories I have listened to in a long time. A good story of the variety of emotional ties people can have and new interpretation on "what is love?"

I definitely liked it more than I thought I would. I love how Makenzie and Ethan were brought into the story from the first book. Sad about her and Brayden saying they never could have children. This is not true after a vasectomy. Although reversal is not always possible. You can withdraw sperm from the testicle, inject it into an egg in the lab, and fertilize the egg, a procedure called sperm aspiration with ICSI and IVF. So it still could be possible! Other than that part of the ending I loved it and even cried a few times!
