04. Never Too Late
Kutless Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
All of your regrets just running down your face,
You think you finally crossed the line,
Feel you sealed your fate
It's never too late, to call on Him
Whatever you've done, wherever you've been,
All your mistakes are covered by grace,
It's never too late
It's hard to hide the pain of life,
It's a losing game that you have played too long,
You've listened to the voice of pride,
It says you're too far gone, but believe me you're wrong
It's never too late, to call on Him
Whatever you've done, wherever you've been,
All your mistakes are covered by grace,
And as long as there's a breath left to take
It's never too late
To all who may be listening, it's never too late,
To all who may be lost, there is peace, there is freedom and forgiveness,
Waiting at the cross, waiting at the cross.
It's never too late, to cry out to Him.
Whatever you've done, wherever you've been,
All your mistakes are covered by grace,
And as long as there's a breath left to take
It's never too late
It's never too late
It's never too late (I see you staring at the sky)
It's never too late (You think you finally crossed the line)
It's never too late (It's never too late)
The song "Never Too Late" by Kutless is about the idea that no matter how far gone one may think they are, it is never too late to turn to God and find redemption. The lyrics describe someone who is struggling with regret and feeling like they have gone too far, crossed a line that cannot be uncrossed. The chorus emphasizes that it is never too late to call on God, that all mistakes are covered by grace and that there is always hope as long as there is breath still left to take.
The verses highlight the pain and losing game of life, and how pride can convince a person that they are beyond redemption. However, the song emphasizes that this is not true and that "to all who may be lost, there is peace, there is freedom, and forgiveness, waiting at the cross." The repetition of "It's never too late" throughout the song is a reminder that no matter how hopeless things may seem, it is never too late to turn to God and be saved.
Overall, "Never Too Late" is a message of hope and redemption, encouraging listeners to turn away from despair and turn towards a loving God who is always waiting to offer forgiveness and grace.
