Back to You
Kyle Watson Lyrics

Blown away to pieces
But fly under we will reach the sky
Needed pouring sad release
In-between our knees

I think it's time we
Crash together (Crash together)
Would you take me? (Take me back to you)
Would you, would you?
Would you take me? (Take me back to you)

(Crash together)
Would you take me? (Take me back to you)
Would you, would you?
(Take me back to you)

Time run away and I
See the end blurred and drown
Run across the waters blue
Crash this one back into you

(Take me back to you)
(Back to you)
(Back to you)
(Back to you)
(Take me back to you)
(Back to you)
(Back to you)
(Back to you)
(Take me back to you)
(Back to you)
(Back to you)
(Back to you)
(Take me back to you)
(Back to you)
(Back to you)

I think it's time we
Crash together (Crash together)
Would you take me? (Take me back to you)
Would you, would you?
Would you take me? (Take me back to you)

Crash together
Would you take me? (Take me back to you)

Would you, would you?
Would you take me?

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Back to You" tell the story of two people who have been hurt and broken apart but are willing to crash together and try to put the pieces back together. The opening lines "Blown away to pieces, but fly under we will reach the sky" indicate that the two individuals may have recently experienced a traumatic event that has blown their world apart but they will overcome the pain and reach new heights. They find solace in each other's company as they seek release and comfort, described as "Needed pouring sad release, in-between our knees."

The chorus calls out to the person they desire and long for, asking if they would take them back. The line "Crash together" is repeated several times, symbolizing the force with which they want to be reunited, and how they are willing to risk everything to make it happen. The verse "Time run away and I, see the end blurred and drown, run across the waters blue, crash this one back into you" paints a picture of someone swimming out to sea, trying to escape reality, but ultimately being pulled back by their deepest longing for the person they love.

Overall, the lyrics are a plea for a second chance, a request to be brought back to the person who makes everything feel okay, despite the chaos around them.
