Who You Lovin
LÉON Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Day and night, I been worrying
Tryna shake you off of me
All this time I spent hurting
Wondering what you think of me

And you've been talking in my head
You're always standing in my way, oh no, no
My heart, it always deceives me
I just need to let it be, let it be

But there are times I fall
I get a few

Like who you lovin' if you don't love me?
Who you lovin' if you don't love me?

I know I'm better off solo
Shouldn't have to be this hard
For you, I try to be different
Oh, for you, I fall apart, fall apart

And you've been talkin' in my head
You're always getting in my way, oh no, no
My mind, it always deceives me
I just need to let it be, let it be

But there are times I fall
I get a few

Like who you lovin' if you don't love me?
Who you lovin' if you don't love me?
Who you think of if it ain't of me?
Who you lovin' if you don't love me?

I've been blind
You ain't real
You're playing nice
Sometimes you act so mean
Sometimes it gets so tough
I get a few

Like who you lovin' if you don't love me?
Who you lovin' if you don't love me?

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Léon's song "Who You Lovin'" portray the internal conflict and confusion of being in a one-sided relationship. The singer seems to be trapped in a cycle of worrying and hurting over someone who doesn't truly love them back. In the chorus, they question who their partner might be loving if they aren't loving them. The repetition of this questioning highlights the singer's desperation and frustration in the situation.

The verses delve into the singer's mental struggle to shake off their feelings and move on. They acknowledge that their heart and mind often deceive them and cause them to hold onto hope for a love that may never be reciprocated. The line "My mind, it always deceives me" particularly stands out as it speaks to the common experience of overthinking and doubting oneself in a relationship.

The song's bridge further emphasizes the singer's realization that they deserve better than being in a toxic, one-sided relationship. They acknowledge that their partner is not genuine and sometimes acts cruelly towards them. Despite this, they still struggle with the temptation to hold out hope and wonder who their partner may be with instead.

Overall, "Who You Lovin'" is a raw and emotional portrayal of the pain and confusion that often comes with unrequited love.

She needs a new manager to promote her music. She deserves much recognition than this.

@joaovitorferreira166

We must stop saying this things to an artist. What she deserves and how she lead her work must not fullfil our expectations or a new level of popularity. Her music is what it is and she is not pursuing a big career. What she does ia music if it get the recognition or not is not our business. It's unfair when people say it to an artist. Mind her feelings. Would you like to hear from someone so called fan, saying your music is "underrated" ou " not famous enough" reducing her work to music to be heard and seen?

@ucbo452

@@joaovitorferreira166 I see your point. But "deserving a better recognition" and "not being famous" are two different things. Whether or not she's striving for bigger fame, wouldn't the fans be happy if she and her music are becoming well-known?

@joaovitorferreira166

@@ucbo452 it's not about fans happy, but herself.

@ucbo452

@@joaovitorferreira166 and why you sound so sure like she just makes music for fun?

@RR-zm6wc

@@joaovitorferreira166 I agree if she is happy but who knows she is happy. I think everyone wants if they have any talent and doing hardwork then they surely deserve respect the basic criteria for them is how much people watched their songs and giving love
