It more stuff like bending over at the wrong angle, lifting heavy stuff, reaching stuff on high shelves and stuff along those lines.

I look forward to the drift builds, can’t wait to see this ripping overseas! Will you be able to add power if needed? When I’m watching driftmasters it seems like some of the guy (piotr, deane, Shanahans, mckeever, and rovanpera, and a few more) are much faster than the rest of the competition and ultimately do better.

Very cool build, but have you thought about putting fans infront ov the radiator so they push air threw it and then make two holes at the bottom of the shroud so all the smoke and hot air goes under the car? I have seen it on some DMEC cars I think.

A backup camera and screen would be easy to mount for you guys, if your ECU doesn't support it, I'm sure you could just use a RaspberryPI or similar device.

Nice build guys , amazing how far drift prep has come over the years.
It also gives newbies a good standard to aspire to . Hopefully gone are the days of crappy preparation, leaky engines, dodgy wiring etc etc .
Being involved in motorsport for over 30 years mainly in rally and race the quality of build has come along way . 👍🇬🇧

It would be interesting to see a rally car build. Maybe through Adam's contacts in Ireland he could get all the parts needed to build a Millington powered Ford Escort. Ken Block had one - they are considered by many to represent the very pinnacle of rally cars.

You should totally start a carbon line. Could start with 'universal' stuff like splitters or spoilers that you can make molds for & pump a couple out a week to build an inventory. Then, start building a catalog from there.

Car is looking great, but have you checked the scrutineering requirements in the countries you are running it in? In the U.K. the cage would need a rear diagonal to meet the MSA regs (not sure if drifting adheres to those though). Are you adding a rear diagonal?

I’ve also been looking into this for our e36 GTR . We’re in the uk and building a prototype for drift , race, time attack. My view is drift cages have slightly less regulation. We’re just going full T45 FIA with extra door bar braces to suit drifters . That way we cover all formulas and don’t really add much more weight. Probably going down the rear rad route too for better weight distribution, less crap up front in the event of an off too .
Quite surprised at the dash 16 water pipes but this seems the norm for drifters , even for 800 BHP we will probably go 25mm to be safe .

i took this exact page out of the drift guys book for my e92 drag car. i cut the back of the car off, cut it down and acid dipped it. full oem e92 body made of carbon/fiberglass. looks like an oem e92 but only weighs 2420 with the built 8hp75, built 3.3l without cage. its pretty crazy how much faster the cars are when you take 1000 lbs out of them.

The cool thing about Rally is that you don't have to have a lot of money to get into it. I've seen Honda's, Volvo 240's, Neons etc. do Rally with minimal mods.
