In their heyday, LINDBERG typically appealed to the junior high to early high school crowd, and was unique in that in the time of its inception in 1989, few Japanese rock bands were female-fronted. The band retired in 2002 following the marriage of the lead singer, Watase Maki, to the lead guitarist Hirakawa Tatsuya; rounding out the band were bassist Kawazoe Tomohisa and drummer Koyanagi "Cherry" Masanori.
In 2009, they got back together for a 20th anniversary best-of and multiple concerts. In 2014, they got back together once again, and since then have released multiple singles, including one called "Fresh" in 2017, and one called "~Shu~" in 2020.
Kawazoe Tomohisa, one of the bands musicians, became a founding member of another Japanese female-fronted Pop/Rock band, Ai+BAND, in 2003. It has released three albums since then.

The first verse of LINDBERG's "Glory Days" talks about a rainy morning in April at a crowded station. Within the crowd, the singer catches sight of someone waving to them. As they watch this person fade away into the distance, they apologize for being unable to give up on their dreams, even if they had to leave someone special behind. The train window becomes a screen, akin to a movie screen, that takes them back to past memories. Each scene is bittersweet, but nonetheless, the singer is thankful for each memory.
In the second verse, the singer reflects on graduating and saying goodbye to their memories. They feel that "glory days" are about losing things but also gaining things in return. The person they romantically loved smiled at them and said that exact phrase, assuring them that even though they may lose things, they will always gain something back. The singer promises to never forget that person. Ultimately, the song is about nostalgia and cherishing past memories.
