Lary's Father is from Jamaika. She studied Media- and Cultural Science at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität in Düsseldorf. After her studies she lived a while in New York City, and after she came back to Berlin, Germany.
She has won several music awards and collaborated with famous German artists. She declares her music to be "Future Deutsche Welle (FDW)" (rather than "Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW)" of the 70s). Her Album with the title "FutureDeutscheWelle" was released on the 12th September 2014.
