Medications for mental health are toxic and addictive. They have all sorts of side effects. They can be habit-forming. They can give you withdrawal symptoms if you try to quit taking them.

True for all medications and even everyday addictive substances. They should generally be avoided.

I'm not against temporary use of meds for acute trauma, injury, etc. Medications can be benefificial if used sparingly and responsibly.

We need more women like Dr. Laura on TV with talk shows. She teaches logic and facts. Not feelings and all the none sense of being politically correct. It's all just super annoying trash on TV today that i'm frankly tired of seeing and hearing. Thank you for your courage to speak up on morals and values that are no longer popular which should be proof to everyone of why this country is not what it used to be. If we want to have the wonderful country that we had before, we must return to the values that they had back in the day. It's not rocket science. We need God fearing leaders and God in our schools again.

@vivthefree We should all expect that the coffee we might accidentally spill on ourselves would cause third degree burns from it being served at 190 degrees Fahrenheit? It takes two to tango. All she sought for was mere medical costs from their negligence. It was the jury in that case who awarded more for the sheer outrageousness and callousness of it all. If anything, she was being modest.

I wouldn't call her advice to her caller a rant. The things she pointed out were all sensible and reasonable. She used the word nigger in a meaningful way. The mistake she made was to give too much credit to folks in general expecting a small amount of calm mental capacity to grasp some simple truth. Too many people with oversensitivity and prejudice clouding their ability to think and reason is the problem we have. Dr. Laura exemplified a big part of the solution, but bad people don't want solutions, they just want to whine.
