At the age of 18, Dizon relocated to Los Angeles, where she attended college for one year as a film major. While in college, she began modelling for various import car magazines. As her photos began to be posted up online, she received 2,000,000 hits from search engines in just a year. Following the advice of Japanese fans, Dizon sent a demo tape to a Japanese talent agency. In March 2006, she signed a contract and immediately moved to Tokyo. In October 2006, she released her first photobook titled Petite Amie (Girlfriend in French), which was ranked as the third best selling photobook of that year.
Dizon made her debut as a singer under the record label Victor Entertainment and on February 14, 2007, she released her first CD single and DVD package, Softly (VIZL-216), which peaked at number #7 in the Oricon Weekly Chart. At the same time, she also released her second photobook titled Hello! Leah. She was also cast in several television commercials and minor movies.
Her debut album, 'Destiny Line', reached #8 on the Oricon weekly charts, and the the first press included a Yasutaka Nakata remix of '恋しよう♪'.
Her second album, Communication!!!, was released on August 20, 2008, and reached #18 on the Oricon weekly charts. While on her "Communication!!!" tour in October 2008, Leah announced that she was four months pregnant and recently married the father of her child, a Japanese stylist. Their daughter, Mila (Mira) was born on April 24, 2009. Following her divorce from the stylist in October 2010, Dizon settled back to New York City in December 2010. While she enrolled at an acting college, she stated that she would return to Japan if she could find work.

The lyrics to Leah Dizon's "Without Your Love" are a contemplation of identity and the role that love plays in shaping who we are as individuals. The song begins with the image of sepia-colored moon fragments being brought together through prayer. The long rain washes away the shadows of love, leaving the singer uncertain about who she is without it.
She looks into the mirror, but cannot find the words to express what she is feeling. The only light she can see are in the remnants of her own color. She hopes to meet her love's dreams, and choose an unfading love that will not be washed away by the rain. She carries an umbrella over her heart while she longs for her love.
The heartbreak of the song is reflected in the vivid imagery of the lyrics. The rain symbolizes the tears of heartbreak while the sepia moon represents the waning of her love. She tries to hold onto the fragments of the past, but ultimately realizes that she cannot escape its fate.
