1)Leave is an acoustic pop/rock band. Inspired by bands such as Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer and David Gray.

2)A Belgian Rockband, the band members are : Cédric Daelman, Ewoud Ceulemans and WIliam Thomé.
Leave. was born in 2006 when William Thomé (drums) and Ewoud Ceulemans (bass) started jamming together for fun. The idea of starting a band grew, and Cédric Daelman, a school mate of Ewouds, joined the band to sing and play guitar. Being a cover band (Blink-182, Alkaline Trio and other punk), the band then known as Crossfire played their first gig at the Pulhof Freepodium, followed by a show at VTIK. The following summer, Crossfire began to write some own songs, including 'Make It Happen'. And one year after their first show, they revisited the Pulhof Freepodium with two own songs, a new guitar player, Mike van der Velden, and a new name: Starcast Avenue. Starcast Avenue kept writing songs, but unfortunately Mike left the band. The name 'Starcast Avenue' also turned into 'Leave.' after being accused of adapting 'Starcast Avenue' from Sunrise Avenue, a pop band. They finished another two songs and recorded four songs at SputnikStudio, Schoten. These songs are available on their first demo: 'Time Has Lost Its Way.'

I love this speech! In real life, Coach Bill Yoast sacrificed personal promotions and glory for standing alongside Head Coach Herman Boone. Yoast was an amazing defensive coach and a person of principle. Will Patton did an excellent job of portraying a man of true integrity.

Coach Yoast had already won a state Championship with this school prior to Coach Boone being hired. In fact, Coach Boone was hired by Coach Yoast to be his assistant after Coach Boone was fired from his former job.

When the school district unified into a single school, the board promoted Boone above Yoast because it wanted to have a black coach. Boone won the state championship in his first year as head coach, but never again after that. Four years later, Boone would be fired by the school board for physically abusing the students - showing the sort of leadership he embodied - something that all four assistant coaches at the time testified to, including Yoast.

To replace Boone, the school district promoted the black junior varsity coach to be head coach and over Yoast while Yoast was again relegated to being the assistant coach of the team he once lead.

Can you imagine twice being demoted in order to make room for another man on account of the color of your skin? Coach Yoast can.

Some how I wonder how those that know the truth, can get things so backwards. How is it that you, knowing what is true and proclaiming it, at the same time fall backwards from your faith?

The team that Coach Yoast had won the state championship with before - before Coach Boone was hired - was an integrated team with both black and white students. Once again, every single member of the team in "Remember the Titans", had in reality been a part of an integrated school district since they were in kindergarten. By the time of the movie there hadn't been black schools or white schools in Virginia for 12 years. I'm not the one arguing that they are different; you are.

@Maximus We live in a time of hypocrisy, when we want to claim that discrimination is wrong, but only when it happens to some people. All I'm pointing out is that sometimes reality is a lot more complicated than the simplistic narratives. Sometimes in an effort to make up for past injustices, we perpetrate new injustices. What I was trying to point out is that if we all agree Yoast was a good man, then do we agree that what happened to him was just and fair? Because we want to make up for unjust myths about white saviors by making up new myths about black saviors, but really there is only one Savior and he is the savior of all people. All I'm saying is a moral standard requires loving everyone as a brother, and not saying, "Well it's OK to put him down, because <the words of Satan>."

And if that makes you think I'm speaking out on account of my skin color, well perhaps you aren't looking at the world in the right way.

@2000rayc it was supposed to be a fixed game. Titans would lose which meant coach Boone would be fired. Yoast would have been awarded Hall of Fame if he sat back and let it happen. So he told the ref to call a fair game or he would report what was happening

In reality this is how the majority of their games went. They had 7 shutouts in 10 games. Their defense was incredibly dominant. Still ranked as one of the greatest, if not the greatest teams in the history of Virginia high school football!

An equally powerful scene is when Yost asks Boone for help on defense, Boone later does something he hadn't done the whole film and asks Yost for a trick play. This film is so multilayered and refuses to become a cookie cutter stereotypical football movie.

I never really understood the complexity of this scene until watching the movie again recently. The way the movie portrays it at least, shows that yost and Gary gave up the most to do what was right. 2 people in different parts of their lives that were just generally good people, were constantly faced with difficult social situations from their own inner circles. Yost lost the hall of fame, and after this game Gary who has no one to celebrate with after the win loses his ability to walk. This movies deep on so many levels.

From a football standpoint, blitzing and getting your defense into a frenzy can work. You can get the offense disoriented, rushing and panicking.
But usually if the QB or coach can keep their head clear, there is a counter.
Honestly football is amazing. This reminds me of this one play when Virginia Tech upset Ohio state (who later went on to win the whole thing).
Tech was blitzing all day, and just confusing the hell out of what I think was a rookie QB. Then on one play the Ohio state running back snuck out of the back field untracked, which tends to happen when the defense is too aggressive.
The running back as all alone with nothing but the end zone in front of home, the QB spotted him and with a VT linebacker coming he side armed it to the running back. Just over his head.
That is the difference between this strategy working or not. Whatever caused that QB to miss that throw, is what you need to do. Game of inches man.

I know no doubt it added stuff didn't happen or changed stuff but still persons not influenced by racism and segregation overcoming those problems to be a elite high school football team that won a high school football championship with a Black Man as the head coach.
Add in persons choosing to be friends that are a different race.

That's why it's greater than Gladiator because it did happen the Legendary Titans high school football team, and shows solutions to real world problems that stll exist.

Gladiator while it has other separators from Action drama Revenge movies and is a terrific must see movie that is a action revenge drama didn't Happen.

Awesome scene and awesome movie reminded me of my senior year I played for a small team in Illinois every year we got picked apart by a team called the East St. Louis Flyers. My senior year despite my schools history never beating them we did 29-27 this night. I scored 4 TDS that night including the game winner with no time left. 16 catches 4 TDS 199 receiving yards. Credit goes to the defense keeping us in. One 2nd half interception and a key fumble recovery to set up my winner. My friend I grew up with middle linebacker made the fumble recovery leaping between the QB and running back. His line 15 tackles 3 sacks and 4 pass defenses.

As a Titan, I would visit my school everyday, what down the hall there was a poster of all the original Titan signatures on it, sometimes I forget how much history my school has it's cool people still remember for what it stands/(although it's way off from what actually happened) it's still cool to see so much history, and yet we still could learn a thing or two from this historic event

the entire movie is amazing but this scene, sunshine destroying that massive lineman for hurting the preacher, and the hospital scene about the black guy being his brother always give me chills.

Because nobody knew how to rumble up this beast! 1 day in the 9th grade football game, my coach punched me on the helmet and he said let's hit somebody around here, because I felt like I wasn't going to play so he made me mad and when I went out there to play, the hit was so hard that they told me if I would have wrapped him up he would have been unconscious
