She's So Gone
Lemonade Mouth Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Insecure
In her skin
Like a puppet, a girl on a string

Broke away
Learned to fly
If you want her back gotta let her shine
So it looks like the joke's on you
'Cause the girl that you thought you knew

She's so gone
That's so over now
She's so gone
You won't find her around
You can look but you won't see
The girl I used to be
'Cause she's
She's so gone

Here I am
This is me
And I'm stronger than you ever thought I'd be

Are you shocked?
Are you mad?
That you're missing out on who I really am

Now it looks like the joke's on you
'Cause the girl that you thought you knew

She's so gone
That's so over now
She's so gone
You won't find her around
You can look but you won't see
The girl I used to be
'Cause she's
She's so gone away
Like history
She's so gone
Baby, this is me, yeah

She's so gone
That's so over now
She's so gone
You won't find her around
You can look but you won't see
The girl I used to be
'Cause she's
She's so gone
She's so gone

You can look but you won't see
The girl I used to be
'Cause she's
She's so gone

So long

She's so gone
Gone, gone, gone

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Lemonade Mouth's song She's So Gone speaks about a girl who was once insecure and felt like a puppet on a string in her own skin. She broke away from that and learned to fly, and the only way for her ex to have her back is to let her shine. The song is an empowerment anthem for anyone who has been looked down upon, looked over, or unappreciated at any point in their lives. The lyrics insist that the girl that her ex once knew is no longer there and that she has moved on to bigger and better things.

In the first verse, the girl comes across as feeling trapped and insecure. Her ex-boyfriend has control over her life and makes her feel like she is on a string or like a puppet being manipulated the way he wants her to be. However, she eventually learns to fly and breaks free from his hold. She develops her sense of confidence and isn't willing to be with someone who cannot let her shine. The chorus repeats several times, reminding the listener that the girl is so far gone, and her ex's chance with her is over because she has moved on.

The second verse of the song is a declaration of her newfound confidence and strength, and she concludes by asking if her ex is shocked or angry about missing out on who she has become. With each repetition of the chorus, she becomes more and more assertive in the fact that she is no longer the girl she once was. The song has a positive and empowering tone, and the message is that people should let themselves shine and become the best version of themselves, no matter who tries to hold them back.

the thing i always loved about this movie is that they all equally contributed instead of it being surrounded by the main singer they all sang their solos and they all had moments to shine the movie is about people being brought together by the power of music and that is a beautiful thing they created i miss this movie and i wish they made a lemonade mouth 2 🤧

@Xxgoofy_ahh_monkeyxX

Ya I was so sad when they didn’t make a two, but it’s better than making a sequel and all the main characters were replaced 🤧

@dylanfrost8792

I feel like Charlie didn't get as much screen time as he could've though
