Home From Home

It don’t matter what you think you know
Things can change and when you gotta go
We’re going home from home
We’re going home from home
And after everything has come and gone
We’re still here and the road goes on
We’re going home we’re going home from home
Leave the lessons of the past behind
There are days that we have yet to find
We’re going home from home
We’re going home from home
And after everything has come and gone
We’re still here and the road goes on
We’re going home we’re going home from home
You may worry that you’ll never find a place
To rest your head or call your own
You’ll be sorry if you let the fears you face
Steer you wrong
So pack the van and get behind the wheel
Get in gear and hear those tyres squeal
We’re going home from home
We’re going home from home
And after everything has come and gone
We’re still here and the road goes on
We’re going home we’re going home from home
You may worry that you’ll never find a place
To rest your head or call your own
You’ll be sorry if you let the fears you face
Steer you wrong
It don’t matter what you think you know
Things can change and when you gotta go
We’re going home from home
We’re going home from home
And after everything has come and gone
We’re still here and the road goes on
We’re going home we’re going home from home

Overall Meaning

Levi Bent-Lee's song "Far from Home" is a rap track that explores several aspects of his life. The song opens with a strong emphasis on his experiences and how he perceives himself and his surroundings. He asserts that he is different from others, stating that "Nigga we far from the same, You don't know how far we came." He also highlights how numb he has become to pain as a result of his involvement in illegal activities, and how some women have fallen in love with such vices. He blurts out, "She tried it once fell in love with the cane, She got the neck of a crane, better check in with ya gang."

In the following lines, Levi shows his tough side by refusing to tuck in his chain or be intimidated by anyone. He feels like a ‘player’ and credits himself with being as awesome as some of the biggest names in the game. He says, “I ain't finna tuck in my chain, who the fuck feeling like D. Bo, I'll make the play of the game, bitch I been feeling like D. Moe.” Levi then talks about some of his sexual adventures and how he enjoys kicking women out after he's done with them. He also addresses the lies people tell and warns that phrases like 'independence' and 'peace' are not to be taken lightly.
