'LiLy Fox' is the musical pseudonym of multi-instrumentalist Jem Taylor. Read Full Bio ↴'LiLy Fox' is the musical pseudonym of multi-instrumentalist Jem Taylor.
Born in Graham Valley, New Zealand, in the back of a purple house bus named "Starsailor". Fox's lyrics tell the story of a tortured soul, covering such topics as love, lust, sweat, dropping out of high school, and what it's like to be fired from a dream job (as a warehouse foot model due to swelling and discolouration.)
As a musician, Lily Fox brings a unique approach to composition and songwriting. ย The influence of jazz legend Miles Davis, can be heard on her track "Sweet Home Hokitika," through her unique brand of mouth percussion closely resembling the sound of Davis' trumpet.
Drawing inspiration from both Jazz heavyweights(such as Miles Davis) and the more experimental sounds of indie rock legends(The Killers, Interpol). Her music melds genres ranging from Grindcore to art punk and electronica using heavy guitars, synthetic sounds, and screaming, erotic, bluesy vocals.
This summer marks the beginning of a heavy touring schedule for Fox, who plans to travel the country in her 1987 Toyota Liteace affectionately dubbed "Little Man." Stay tuned for updates and venues where you can catch Lily Fox

This is awesome. I have wanted to learn how to weld just to do sculpture work.
Would love to find a place to go do this. Hobby workshop to do occasional projects....and learn / practice with cool projects like this.
Great video .you do a great job explaining the steps.
I don't have the acetaline but maybe I can go small scale project with my tinsnips. My neighbors might knock on my door for the hammering..maybe take that part to tap away at the park for an afternoon. ๐
The scraps could maybe be used to make pendants maybe. ๐ฎ
Final sculpture is beautiful. ๐๐๐

More beautiful sculptures please! I love this so much!

Fantastic video, thank you so much! I've just stumbled upon your channel and it's great, I don't know how you don't have more subscribers! Please keep doing what you're doing!

@Way of the Wrench It must be quite the challenge I'm sure - you hard work is valued and appreciated even if it hasn't yet blown up to the level you deserve, but I'm sure it will come! I've shared your channel with some other sculptor friends of mine who might be interested :) good luck with it all!

Thanks! I work very hard to make good videos for people so it's always nice to hear comments like these. Yeah I'm not sure why I don't have more subscribers too....lol. Honestly, it is extremely hard to be noticed in a sea of youtube videos out there. If you deem me worthy, it would really help me out if you shared out my channel on your social media and asked your friends too as well. Thanks in advance and thanks for the watch! Cheers!

Great video! This is exactly the type of project I want to be able to make. Iโve been soldering in small sizes (like jewelry etc) but have always wanted to learn welding sculptural pieces, only where I live courses on the subject are astronomically expensive (as usually paid for by employers looking to advance an employees technique) and very few and far apart, plus usually donโt get into anything artful or decorative.
Definately subscribing and checking out your channel more to learn the difference between what I know of soldering and this.
As Iโm already wondering basic stuff like why I canโt see you using flux etc.
I wonโt bother with questions Iโm sure your other videos answer ;)
Marvelous piece, love it!

Thanks Gnarbel Jo! I really appreciate the comment and subscribe! Yeah I hear ya, the price of everything these days is getting insane....especially things like copper. You should check out the how to braze video and it will explain the flux you mentioned. Some brazing rods have flux already on the brazing rod and some either require flux or do not depending on what you are brazing. If you have access to your own equipment, I would recommend just trying some sculpture on your own....save your money for materials. If you follow the steps in this video, you can totally come up with your own custom designed brazing sculpture. If you do, I'd love to see some pics, just dm my instagram. Cheers from Canada eh!
