Take some time
To understand
Cos time won't hold
Yr hand

Overall Meaning

These lyrics are conveying the importance of taking the time to understand, as time itself is fleeting and will not wait for us. The act of understanding requires a certain level of patience and effort on our part. It encourages us to pause and reflect instead of rushing through life without gaining insight. By taking the time to understand, we can truly grasp the significance and meaning behind our experiences.

The first line, "Take some time," serves as an invitation to devote a portion of our lives to comprehension. In our fast-paced world, it is easy to get caught up in the chaos and neglect the value of understanding. This line prompts us to step back and allocate time to gain insight into ourselves, others, and the world around us. It serves as a reminder that understanding requires an investment of our time and energy.

The following line, "To understand," serves as the second part of the invitation. It emphasizes that understanding is an active process that requires our willingness and effort. The lyrics imply that understanding does not come effortlessly or naturally; it is something we must actively pursue. This line suggests that we should approach life with curiosity and a desire to learn, rather than passively accepting things at face value.

The third line, "Cos time won't hold," introduces the concept of time's fleeting nature. It is a reminder that time waits for no one and will continue to pass regardless of our actions or choices. This line emphasizes the urgency and importance of prioritizing understanding. It signifies that if we choose not to invest our time in understanding, we may not have another opportunity to do so. It serves as a gentle warning that time is a limited resource and should be used wisely.

Finally, the line "Yr hand" represents the significance of personal responsibility when it comes to understanding. It implies that we cannot rely on others or external circumstances to hand us understanding on a silver platter. Instead, it suggests that we must take matters into our own hands and actively seek understanding. It highlights the fact that understanding is a personal journey, and it is up to us to grasp and cultivate it.

In conclusion, these lyrics emphasize the value of taking the time to understand and the urgency of doing so. They remind us that understanding requires effort and active engagement. They also caution against delaying or neglecting understanding as time is constantly moving forward and we may miss opportunities for growth and insight. Ultimately, these lyrics call us to actively embrace the responsibility of seeking understanding in order to fully appreciate and navigate life's song.

Underneath duality is unity.
The weaving principle: Things are held together by going over, going under, going over, and going under.
Matter. Mother. Maya (illusion).
The world is a marvellous illusion.

Where and when are just as important as what is the particle.
The context matters.
Relativity is the soundest situation, is one supporting each other.
Sharp teeth and the melting softness of life going together.
Your going on is in perfect relationship with others.

If that wasn't there, you wouldn't be here.
The outside thing you see, the inside thing you are, are poles of the same magnet.
You can't have one without the other.

The total intelligence of the universe crystallised in human brain and other brains. That's where it really comes out.
But it's the total intelligence of the whole field that does it.
So we go with the whole thing, interdependent with it.

Rocks, air, and flowers are interconnected, all part of the melody.

You live in one end and that lives in the other. They really go together.
Realise that, then you live a harmonious life.

Thanks Alan. 16 November 2023.🐘🏘🦅💖🦋🤠😎🤡

What a beautiful individual Alan Watts was. Somehow I feel that in time, his stature will grow and grow. Maybe he was a kind of, exceedingly modest and polite, understated phrophet 🙏 He has left a beautiful legacy. Thank you for uploading and sharing 🙏 🦢 💕

@andyjs4629

Alan Watts has helped lot's of individuals since his time, although all 20th century philosophers etc, stood on the shoulders of a number of giants of wisdom and mysticism, like pythagoras, secretes, plato, plotinus etc. And even these great master's stood on the giants of wisdom who came long before them. Alan Watts like others were reverberating voice boxes parroting wise words that were said thousands of years ago. There is No thing new under the sun....
Blessings 🙌

Plus Alan, Alan Watts, loved his women and loved his booze to. Nothing wrong as a man to Love women, perfectly natural. Maybe his excessive drinking was his way of coping with an upside down backwards world...

“You are a function of what the whole universe is doing in the same way that a wave is a function of what the whole ocean is doing.”
