Goddammit! Say
Woo! Woah
Oh!
Pistol on my side, trigger finger on the job
Pistol on my side, trigger finger on the job
Pistol on my side, leave a nigga on his side
Drippin' Evian and Fiji, I'm a water slide
Pockets fatter than a greedy nigga on a diet
Nina on my side, but she say you can call her "Nine"
Divas on my side, so many they could form a line
Strippers on my side and I got 'em performin' live
Hot girl in the bed and she prefer the warmer side
Pistol on my side, I'm talkin' 'bout the army kind
Cita, that's my moms, only had her in father time
Pistol on my side, you don't wanna hear it harmonize
Numbers don't lie, the Number One Stun- never mind
Tunechi in this bitch, eyes lookin' like Konnichiwa
Swizzy on the beat, I'ma beat it like policia
Burr, burr, burr, man the Uzi needs speech lessons
Pistol in my briefs, you don't wanna get this brief message
(Here we go nigga, here we go)
Oh, oh, y'all think it's a game (yeah)
Pistol on my side, trigger finger on the job
Pistol on my side, leave a nigga on his side
Pistol on my side, talkin' 'bout the army kind
Pistol on my side, leave a nigga on his side
Swizzy on the beat, I beat your ass it like policia
Tunechi in this bitch, eyes looking like Konnichiwa
Pistol on my side, you don't want that thing to scream at ya
Laughin' when you die, boy, my pistol a comedian (brr)
Pistol on my side, I ain't lyin' like the media
Clips longer than encyclopedias, you're readin' 'em
Double barrel, long barrel, short barrel, medium (brr)
We ain't hittin' licks, we beatin' 'em and then repeatin' 'em
Sugar in the coffee, sugar in the Morphine
Sugar sweet Codeine, it ain't purple, then I'm barfing
Gang ride or die, like we sittin' on Harley's (skrt)
Let the thing talk like it's sittin' on Maury (burr)
Good, good, too good, in my doobie, I can't be stressin'
Ugh, ugh, ugh, that bitch moody, you may leave a message
Plll-plll-plll to his chest, give him three presses
Pistol in my briefs, you don't wanna get this brief message
(Here we go! Weezy!)

In "Pom Pom," Lil Wayne joins forces with Junior Reid to deliver a track that is packed with punchy wordplay and strong imagery. The lyrics are brimming with references to weaponry, excess, and the rapperβs prowess. Through this, the artists convey a sense of power, confidence, and even a touch of humor.
The opening lines of the song provide a somber note, as Lil Wayne calls for prayers for those who have been lost. This could be a reference to friends or acquaintances who have passed away or possibly even a broader call to pray for those affected by crime or violence.
However, the tone quickly shifts, and Lil Wayne starts boasting about his own power and influence. The repeated lines, βPistol on my side, trigger finger on the job,β add an air of danger and suggest that Lil Wayne is always prepared to protect himself and take control. He refers to himself as βMr. Always High,β indicating his constant state of being elevated, both in terms of substance use and his elevated status as an artist.
The lyrics continue to showcase Lil Wayne's extravagant lifestyle and his way with women. He boasts about his wealth, mentioning his ability to afford expensive water brands like Evian and Fiji. He flaunts his wealth with lines like "Pockets fatter than a greedy nigga on a diet." The mention of divas and strippers on his side, as well as a reference to a "hot girl" who prefers the warmer side of the bed, suggests his ability to surround himself with attractive women.
As the song progresses, Lil Wayne and Junior Reid continue to assert their dominance and prowess. They utilize vivid metaphors and wordplay to describe their seamless flow and lyrical skills. Lil Wayne's collaboration with producer Swizz Beatz is acknowledged, with a reference to Swizzy on the beat, and a promise to beat the track like "policia" (police). This line suggests that Lil Wayne's flow will be as powerful and arresting as law enforcement.
The repeated lines about pistols on his side reinforce Lil Wayne's belief in his own ability to protect himself and maintain control. He showcases a level of comfort and confidence with guns, even making reference to the different types of barrels they come with.
Overall, "Pom Pom" is a braggadocious and energetic track that showcases Lil Wayne's lyrical prowess and fearless attitude. The lyrics draw upon themes of power, dominance, and a lavish lifestyle, while also touching on the realities of violence.
