Overall Meaning

The beginning of the first verse in "No Lie" finds Lil Wayne noting that he feels like he is yelling even though the music is playing. He then points out that he does not like it. This may be because he is sipping on lean, which is a combination of promethazine and codeine mixed with soda or candy. Lil Wayne likes this combination because it makes him feel relaxed and euphoric. He then goes on to say that he is so rich and powerful that he can make it rain so hard that flowers grow in his hometown's Hollygrove neighborhood.
