The opening lines of the song "Glowing Hearts" by Lissi Dancefloor Disaster describe a desire to be with someone and see their light. The singer sees an opportunity in the future for them to be who they want to be despite not having everything handed to them. However, they feel the weight of the world on their shoulders as they battle against their past and present. They have friends from the suburbs who may not fully understand what they are going through. They seem to be in a constant state of turmoil as they stumble into walls and try to sell their future. In their moments of escape, they watch Star Trek and wish they could fly.
The lyrics take a turn and address a shared experience with someone they were in a mental institution with - a reminder of a traumatic past. They were told that they didn't have control over their future but they cling to the euphoria they experienced as a child. The doctor watched them cry and that's where they saw their light reflected. They get to the point where they ask whether the person they're speaking to wants to be their friend, but they really want it all to end. I interpret the video as connected to the lyrics, and that the guy is thinking of lost love and lost oppurtunities in life. Everyone has dreams, regardsless of age or living situation. He looks totally depressed, and longing for someething else.
