Loane Lyrics

Est-ce que tu vas lui mentir
C'est drôle, vous aviez l'air bien
Pourtant
Serait-ce meilleur ou pire
Qu'elle connaisse ton désir...
Ailleurs vers d'autres vents
Tu souffres maintenant
Tu dis que t'es qu'un con
Tes larmes, penses-tu ne sont rien
Tu voudrais avouer
Lui dire c'est te condamner
Se taire
Est-ce continuer à tromper?
Oh! une boule dans ta gorge
Tu voudrais oublier les mensonges
Et cette boule dans ta gorge
Les regrets en secret qui te rongent
Est-ce que tu va t'enfuir?
Un secret lourd à tenir
Assumer est-ce tout dire?
Tu voudrais respirer
Un naufrage à essuyer
Tes larmes penses-tu
Vont sécher
Oh! une boule dans ta gorge
Tu voudrais oublier les mensonges
Et cette boule dans ta gorge
Les regrets en secret qui te rongent
The lyrics of Loane's song "Ailleurs" talks about the inner conflict of a person who is torn between revealing their true feelings to someone and continuing to deceive them. The song opens with questions asking whether the person will tell the truth or lie to the other person. The irony is that they seemed happy together, yet the desire to be elsewhere is strong. The lyrics ponder whether it would be better or worse for the other person to know the singer's true desires. The person is urged to wait and to endure the suffering they are experiencing as a result of their deception.
The chorus reflects on the internal struggle the person is facing. They consider themselves foolish (con) for causing their own suffering and question the significance of their tears. They long to confess and reveal the truth, but they wonder if staying silent is a form of continuing their deception. The song expresses the feeling of a lump in their throat, a metaphor for the difficulty of swallowing their emotions and forgetting the lies. They also reveal the secret regrets that eat away at them in silence.
Overall, the song captures the emotional turmoil of someone who is torn between being honest and continuing to deceive, while also grappling with the guilt and regret that comes with concealing the truth.
