I’ve been trying to figure out how to submit a story to this channel but idk how. So I’ll just tell it on here.

Back at my parents house, they have a basement bedroom that always seems to have very creepy, haunted, or even cursed vibes to it. I’ve had several things happen to me in that bedroom and the bedroom above it. Some things even happened to my friends or family members too.

Just a bit of backstory about the bedroom. The bedroom is a small room furnished with a bed and a dresser. It also has a floating shelf on the wall with antiques like clocks, tribal-looking statues, etc. my father decorated the room and loves antiques. My family and I are Christian but my parents don’t attend church as regularly as I do. And I would also like mention that my dad doesn’t believe too much in spiritual warfare or cursed objects. But I always had discernment and was able to tell or sense if something evil lurked around. I always had a bad vibe about these wooden statues. Wooden statues that he’d get from countries like the Dominican Republic (when he’d go on vacation there). I wouldn’t be surprised if these are voodoo statues. These statues are made out of a dark brown wood with a figure sitting on a stool of some kind and with a large head with a mask on. As I’m typing this, I realize, maybe they really are voodoo statues. I could never tell my dad my speculation about the statues because he’d just get angry with me and tell me I was overreacting. Anyway. The point is: I think those statues had an effect on what went on in that room.

Story 1 of what’s happened in that room: during my freshman year in college (and living at home), I was taking a microeconomics course. It was a necessary course for my degree and I was studying for a final exam. deep down inside, I felt like I was going to fail the exam, and in turn, fail the class. But, I studied as much as I possibly could. I would study at home but it was difficult to do so because no matter how many times I told my family members to be respectful and try to not talk too loud, they (my dad especially) didn’t care. So, I took my books and notes and went to the basement bedroom to study. It was easier over there because you couldn’t hear much noise from above. One night, I decided to just sleep in the bedroom and just continue studying when I woke up the next morning. But, in the middle of the night, I woke up. I didn’t wake up to a sound or anything like that. But I woke up to immediately (but not quickly) sitting upright (as if it was an instinct to do it) in almost like a trance. I looked at the foot of my bed and I saw a figure standing there looking at me. The moment I looked at it, I immediately knocked out back into a deep sleep. Before I tell you what the figure looked like, let me say that the feeling I got when I looked at it was that the figure was so full of (dark) energy that me just looking at it, took all of the energy out of me. As if it overwhelmed it. So, the next morning when I woke up, I grabbed everything and I ran out of the room. I remembered what it looked like. It looked like this: think of a figure as skinny and tall like slender man, limbs so thin and tall and long with just barely any muscle or flesh on its boney fingers (which were all a foot long), a black cloak around its body, a dark abyss for a face (think of the dementors from Harry Potter (and no I didn’t watch Harry Potter the night before so I didn’t imagine or dream it)), and thick BLACK horns (bigger and thicker than even a bulls. You could wrap both of your hands around the base of the horn and your hands wouldn’t touch). I was terrified and ran to my room upstairs. I hadn’t gone into that bedroom during the night for the next two years.

Story 2: I had two of my friends sleeping over one night. This was a few years ago. We were all around 19 years old and funnily enough, all of our names were “Sarah” except one spelled her name like “Sara”. We were all extremely close friends and did everything together. Even though my girl friends knew the story of that bedroom (from what had happened to me), I put them to sleep in that room (since nothing had happened there in a while). They were both skeptical but they slept there anyway. So, I went to bed in my room upstairs and they slept in that room. The following morning, my friend, Sara, told me she woke up in the middle of the night and saw a little girl. I think she said she was blonde and wore a white dress and she asked Sara to come and follow her. And Sara sleepily and confused said “no, I can’t leave Sarah”. And the little girl left. In the 24 years I lived in that house, I never saw a little girl. I’ve seen demons for sure but never a little girl. So that was different. So I told my friends I’d never put them in that room again.

Story 3: my family and I found out my mom got multiple myeloma cancer about a year and a half ago. Almost 2 years. But before we knew that she had cancer, we noticed my mom having really bad back pains and not being able to sleep or walk. But we thought she just had (i forgot the name of the condition) a certain temporary back pain condition because she had in the past and was able to overcome it. So we thought she just needed time to heal and have some therapy like before (side note, it was just a month later that we’d find out she had cancer after lots of tests). Anyway, she’d wake up in the night crying out in pain, waking everyone up. Some nights, she’d walk around her room crying and praying. She said one night when she was walking around the room and praying and she felt and SAW a dark hand being placed on her shoulder. She said it was very firm but she didn’t say if it felt reassuring or not. But anyway, this was the bedroom above the basement bedroom.

Story 4: back in high school when I was maybe around 17/18, I temporarily stayed in the bedroom above the basement bedroom. I’ve had some really creepy things happen to me in that room. I can recall 3 things. They’re really random and bizarre and I feel like I’m going to lose all credibility when I mention them. But I SWEAR they HAPPENED. One night, my older brother and I were talking about the movie, Frozen. And we laughed how that one character said “yoo-hoo big summer blow out!” And how it was probably the funniest line in the movie. At least, it was for us. Anyway, he and our mom left to the grocery store, shortly after that conversation. So, I went into the bedroom and started to straighten my hair. It started to get really hot in the room so I opened a window to get the heat out. And suddenly I heard someone say a very slow, clear, and loud “yooooooo-hoooooo”. And I was thinking “it’s only been about 10 minutes. How are they back so soon. But okay cool, mom and my brother are home. Let me go open the door for them and help with the groceries.” When I got the door, no one was there. I froze. I ran to my bedroom window and looked up and down the street and no one was there. But how would have anyone even heard us talking about that line from the movie? All the doors and windows were closed during the time before they left. I shut the window shut and locked it. I turned off my bedroom light and sat down on the bed, shaking. I was so scared. I KNEW I heard the voice and it sounded like it came from outside. When my mom and brother did come home, I hysterically told them what happened. They didn’t believe me. The next thing that happened in that room happened another night. But it was within the same week as did the first event and the third event. this one is also random and weird but I woke up to a pressure on my nose. It felt as though someone was pushing my nose inward on my face. I am a VERY light sleeper. I wake up to every little sound and feeling. You could be as quiet as you want but if you walk past me when I’m sleeping, I’ll wake up. So, when I woke up, I looked around the room and no one was there. The door was also closed (just how I left it before bed) so I know no one came in. If they had, I would have woken up to the door opening. The next morning, I told my brother what happened and he says “you’re always experiencing stuff in that room.” But he still didn’t believe me. He was just annoyed with me when I mentioned paranormal things to me. The third thing that happened to me was that I woke up to a whispered hiss to someone calling my name “SARAH!” I woke up immediately but even this night, again, no one was there. The door was closed.

Nothings happened to me personally in the last few years in that house. And I got married and moved states a year ago. And i haven’t experienced anything paranormal (thank God for that) like I had at my parents house. I don’t know if the paranormal stuff had to do with those statues or if something else happened. But all I know is that if things happened to other people I know, and not just me, something is up in that part of the house.

LDR couple in love

A long time ago back in 1994 I was hitchhiking across Pennsylvania, I got a late start that day and was dropped off at the intersection of I80 and I81. I started walking down the ramp to 81s I would say it was around 11pm and a sliver of moonlight. Much to my surprise I wasn't alone on the ramp, I was accompanied by a blonde lady thin build not hugely attractive but ok. As I was walking I wanted to keep my distance but she kept slowing. When she was maybe six feet in front of me, she stopped and turned and said to me, " you will never leave this highway alive" then she turned and walked into the forest into the darkness. As soon as she was out of sight, I started hearing howls in the distance getting closer and louder. I got to the end of the ramp and started looking desperately for any oncoming car that might pick me up. I was scared very scared, I started praying for an angel. The very next car picked me up, that person identified himself as a Christian, I believe he was compelled by devine providence to stop and help me. He drove me out of his way to my destination. True story, we have all had close calls in our lives.

I can't imagine anyone buying a house without wanting to look at the basement first. Not only should the buyer look the basement over themselves, but they should also have a building inspector look the entire house and land immediately surrounding it over for problems. If they are going to get homeowners insurance, or get a mortgage to pay for it, having a building inspector go into the basement would be a requirement.

David Roberson

Not a bad idea, and even though most people don't want to take the time it's a good idea to check out the history of the house if you can the property and surroundings.

Vita Lucas

That may be. I have opted for them and feel I wasted my money each time. But that's another story.
The point is, had the door or window not been nailed shut that's not material to this house sale, as they did their walk through and were pleased.
Would a house inspector give a positive or negative energy report?

Love how the guy says maybe it’s a black mold problem. As a buyer that doesn’t make you have someone inspect it? ( sniff sniff 👃🏽 that’s the smell of BS) 🤣🤣
