Feel Good

A reason to pose
'Cause strutting fun
Feeling like a special one on one
One on one is true
You can stand beside me too
You can stand beside me too
It's OK to feel good about myself, about me, about you
There's better things to do, then to make up stupid rules
Decide who I am and what's out of line
I'm feeling special that's just fine with me
It's OK to feel good about myself, about me, about you
It's OK to feel good about yourself, about yourself, about you
It's OK to feel good about myself, about myself, about you
It's OK to feel good about yourself, about myself, about
Yourself, about you
The lyrics of Lou Barlow's song "Feel Good" express the idea of feeling confident and good about oneself without the need for external validation or approval. The lyrics encourage the listener to find their own place and reason to feel good, rather than conforming to arbitrary rules and expectations set by others. The line "strutting fun, feeling like a special one on one" suggests a sense of pride and uniqueness that comes from being true to oneself. The repetition of "It's OK to feel good about myself, about me, about you" reinforces the idea that self-acceptance and self-love are important, not just for oneself but also for others.
