My Head Is a Jungle
Louise Emma Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

In a dark room we fight
Make up for our lost
I've been thinking, thinking 'bout you,
'Bout us
And we're moving, slow
Our hearts beat, so fast
I've been dreaming, dreaming 'bout you
'Bout us

Hey
Hey
Hey
Hey

My head is a jungle, jungle
My head is a jungle, jungle
My head is a jungle, jungle
My head, and oh, oh

We're speaking
Soft
See the pain in your eyes
I've been feelin', feelin' for you, my love

And our bodies, are tied
Our shadows will dance
I've been achin', achin' for you, my love

My head is a jungle, jungle
My head is a jungle, jungle
My head is a jungle, jungle
My head

My love is wasted, sorry for this I never meant to be
Hurting ourselves, hurting ourselves and I'm
Complicated, you won't get me, I have trouble
Understanding myself, understanding myself and my
Love is wasted, sorry for this I never meant to be
Hurting ourselves, hurting ourselves and I'm
Complicated, you won't get me I have trouble
Understanding myself, understanding myself

My head is a jungle, jungle
My head is a jungle, jungle
My head is a jungle, jungle
My head

My head is a jungle, jungle
My head is a jungle, jungle

My head is a jungle, jungle
My head, oh, oh, oh, oh

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Louise Emma's song My Head is a Jungle describe a complicated and confusing relationship where the two people involved fight in a dark room, make up for their lost time together and move slowly while their hearts beat fast. The singer has been constantly thinking and dreaming about the other person, yearning to be with them. Even when they speak softly, the pain in their eyes is visible, and they are tied together physically, but seem to have trouble understanding each other emotionally. The singer laments about how their love is wasted, and apologizes for not intending to hurt each other. They believe that they are too complicated for the other person to understand and how they too struggle to understand themselves.

The lyrics of the song generate a sense of confusion, hurt, and melancholy, as the singer tries to navigate their emotions and their relationship. The use of metaphors and repetition of the phrase 'My head is a jungle' highlights the complexity and chaos of the singer's thoughts and feelings. The tempo of the song is slow and dreamy, creating a reflective and introspective atmosphere.

+Jithin Bas Not alone at all, can't believe it took me so long to find this tune, I guess the remix did have it's purpose. I can see why a dance remix is good for clubs... just need to turn this into a drum and bass song and the cycle will be complete

10 years later and i still adore this song. my mom
showed it to me when i was 11 after it had already been out for 5 years and i was in love with it. i still come back to it. when i was younger i thought that this song explained everything. now that i’m older it’s even more louder and makes even more sense in my head.
