No Way Out
Love and Zombies Lyrics

They always circle back
As sure as a railroad track
Will guide the train
From far away it looks as though the waves are still
But they can change an entire cliff's face
All while we fret over the smallest mistakes
Rushing the hill
You slip and fall and can't recover from the spill
It's only a 30th of the climb out
I'm the patron saint of time-traveling at funerals
When there's no time for looking back
When that's all there is to look at
In old pictures and films
Projected on a wall they took everything down to see it clear
Margarite if I could do your work for you I would
But they trained me to be so helpless
And all I can think is of you in 2nd grade class
So shy you couldn't speak
And I cry so hard I can barely breathe
It's only a 30th of the climb out
It's only a 30th of the climb
So let's just do it one step at a time
The lyrics to Love and Zombies' song "No Way Out" convey a theme of resilience and determination in the face of challenges. The line "Giving up is not the easiest way out" suggests that despite difficulties, the singer refuses to give in. The imagery of circling back and the reference to a railroad track symbolize the repetitive nature of obstacles, but also imply that there is always a way forward.
The next verse compares the stillness of waves from afar to the ability to cause significant changes in the world. It highlights how we often get caught up in trivial mistakes while facing greater challenges. The line "Rushing the hill, you slip and fall and can't recover from the spill" serves as a metaphor for the setbacks and failures we encounter on our journey.
The chorus emphasizes that the climb out of any situation is not an easy task, but it is possible. The lyrics suggest that progress may be slow, represented by the idea that it's "only a 30th of the climb out." This reinforces the theme of taking things one step at a time and not becoming overwhelmed by the enormity of the task at hand.
In the bridge, the singer expresses a sense of helplessness and nostalgia, mentioning being trained to be helpless and reminiscing about someone named Margarite from their past. These lyrics convey a longing for the ability to change the past or help someone in need, but also acknowledge the limitations we sometimes feel in our ability to make a difference.
Overall, "No Way Out" encourages perseverance and the belief that even though the climb may be challenging, progress can be made by taking small steps forward.
Line by Line Meaning
Giving up is not the easiest way out
Choosing to quit is not the simplest solution
They always circle back
The same problems or obstacles constantly return
As sure as a railroad track
Just like the certainty of a train's path
Will guide the train
Direct and lead the train along its route
A million more times over the same terrain
Repeatedly facing the same challenges countless times
From far away it looks as though the waves are still
When viewed from a distance, the waves seem calm and motionless
But they can change an entire cliff's face
Nevertheless, they have the power to reshape an entire cliff
All while we fret over the smallest mistakes
Meanwhile, we worry excessively about minor errors
Rushing the hill
Sprinting towards the uphill battle
You slip and fall and can't recover from the spill
You make a mistake and struggle to bounce back from its consequences
It's only a 30th of the climb out
We have only completed a small portion of the journey to overcome the situation
I'm the patron saint of time-traveling at funerals
I possess the ability to reminisce about the past during solemn occasions
When there's no time for looking back
In moments where it is not possible to reflect on the past
When that's all there is to look at
When memories and nostalgia are the only things available for introspection
In old pictures and films
Within aged photographs and movies
Projected on a wall they took everything down to see it clear
Displayed on a wall, they removed all obstructions to obtain a clear view
Margarite if I could do your work for you I would
If I had the ability, I would complete your tasks on your behalf, Margarite
But they trained me to be so helpless
However, they have conditioned me to be utterly incapable
And all I can think is of you in 2nd grade class
My mind is filled only with thoughts of you while we were in second grade
So shy you couldn't speak
You were so bashful that you were unable to utter a word
And I cry so hard I can barely breathe
I weep intensely, to the point of struggling for breath
It's only a 30th of the climb out
We have only completed a small portion of the journey to overcome the situation
It's only a 30th of the climb
We have only achieved a small fraction of the overall progress
So let's just do it one step at a time
Therefore, we should tackle it gradually and take each step as it comes

LYRICS:
Ooh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
They used to tell us "Don't be different!"
"Dont you dare be strange!"
But if you want a chance to change the world.
You gotta dare be the change!
Now we're a mess of contradictions.
Just starting to make sense!
And the feelings taking over's so intense!
Ooh, everyone belongs here.
We're glad to see your face!
Home is what we got, yeah!
It's the people, not the place!
So come and be yourself.
You're the only one who can!
We're better for it!
Give us more, it's how this all began!
(Yeah!)
Now we got nothing but love for you!
And everything you do!
Nothing but love for you!
And anybody coming through!
Nothing but love for you!
We know you got it for us too!
Nothing but love for you!
Love for you!
Nothing but love!
Woo, woohop!
Nothing but love!
Woo, woohoo!
Oh-oh!
Nothing but love!
We still own the night.
And sharing it, that's new.
But the stars shine so much brighter.
Now im sharing them with you!
I can just be me!
And you can be you too!
And if we ever disagree,
Well just do like zombies do!
(What?!)
Now we got nothing but love for you,
And everything you do!
Nothing but love for you!
And anybody coming through!
Nothing but love for you!
We know you got it for us too!
Nothing but love for you!
Love for you!
Nothing but love!
Woo, woohoo!
Nothing but love!
Woo, woohoo!
Got nothing but love!
No, no, no nothing but love!

Reyes Reviews
I like how Wyatt, Willa and Wynter say "we'll just do like zombies do" it's a perfect nod as to how in the second movie they only wanted to be themselves and now in this movie they are now accepting to work with humans aliens and zombies
(Edit) wow I did not think I was gonna get this many likes and responses
