With the release of Rumour, Lunik started as a trip-hop group and evolved (some say de-volved) to a more melodic pop outfit in the early 2000s.
Jaël became known in wider audiences after her appearance on Delerium's single "After All", taken from their 2003 album "Chimera" as well as Mich Gerber's single Your Remain in 2004.
In 2013, it was announced that the band would split up after releasing the album Encore, featuring some unreleased tracks and live versions. Jaël stated in an interview that the reason of the split was that "everything had been said (what the members wanted to express together)" and the band members "didn't have fun anymore" playing together.
Waiting
Lunik Lyrics

Smoking all day, all day long
Civilization he doesn't like it
But the strength to fight has gone
Then he's talking of the future
Of a better nicer world
And his eyes begin to glitter
I can't believe he doesn't move
He's waiting for a miracle
I see him waiting for so long
He's dreaming of a miracle
And it never ever comes
He's falling deeper, deeper, deeper
And he doesn't see the truth
He thinks one day it will be better
I know one day it will be too late
Cause he waited much too long
And he doesn't want to wake up
Cause his strength to fight is gone
And his hope is much too strong
The lyrics of the song speak of a man who is struggling with the harsh realities of life. He is seen smoking all day, which could be a sign of addiction or a coping mechanism. The first line of the song speaks of his trembling movements, which could be interpreted as a sign of withdrawal symptoms or anxiety. The singer of the song is a misfit in society, and he doesn't like civilization. He is seen waiting for a miracle, dreaming of a better world, and his hope is much too strong.
The man seems to be disillusioned with life and believes that a miracle can change his circumstances. He talks of a future that is better and nicer than the present, but his strength to fight has gone. He is falling deeper and deeper into despair and doesn't see the truth of his situation. He believes that one day everything will be better, but the reality is that he is waiting for too long. He doesn't want to wake up because he has given up hope of a better life.
The song captures the pain and struggle of individuals who are going through tough times. It speaks of the need to hold on to hope, but at the same time, it reminds us that hope alone is not enough. The man in the song waited for too long, and his hope was much too strong. It is a cautionary tale that reminds us that we need to act and not wait for miracles to change our circumstances.
