It's Over Now
Luther Vandross Lyrics

And my "esp" woke me up
I know what's going on girl, you ain't been treating me right
And your sweet talking ain't enough
I know you're messing with at least two other guys
You fooled me a long time but the kid is gettin' wise, yeah I am!
Excuse me, but you see this love affair is
(Over now) you did me bad
(Over now, it's over now)
You treated me so bad
(Over now, it's all over baby)
I didn't know it when I walked into the house
But you were on the telephone
That's when I heard you tell him to come over tonight
Said you were gonna be alone
I heard you mention that I had some place to go
And you helped me pack my things, but it's you whose got to go, yes it is
You're busted! You must have fooled me for a while
But honey, as they say "hit the road"
It's all over now
You did me bad
(Over now, it's over now)
You treated me so bad
(Over now, it's all over baby)
(Over now) you did me bad
(Over now, it's over now)
You treated me so bad
(Over now, it's all over baby)
You can go now, keep your voice down
There's no need to fuss and shout, no baby
Use the back door, I don't want no
Nosy neighbors to see you checkin' out
(Get out!)
It's all over baby
Bye baby, so long, it's been oh wow!
If you really loved me I wouldn't say it's
(Over now) but you did me bad
(Over now, it's over now)
You treated me so bad
(Over now, it's all over baby)
(Over now) you did me bad
(Over now, it's over now)
You treated me so bad
(Over now, it's all over baby)
(Over now) you did me bad
(Over now, it's over now)
You treated me so bad
(Over now, it's all over baby)
(Over now) it's all over baby, it's all over now
(Over now) it's all over baby
(Over now) it's all over baby, it's all over now
(Over now) it's all over baby (it's all over baby)
(Over now) sure it's all over now
(Over now) it's all over baby
(It's over now) it's all over baby, it's all over now
(Over now) it's all over baby (it's all over baby)
(Over now) it's too late now
(Over now)
The lyrics to Luther Vandrossโs "Itโs Over Now" express the singerโs realization that his partner has been unfaithful and deceptive. The lyrics indicate that the singer has finally become aware of his loverโs infidelity, and is finally saying it's time for the relationship to come to an end. The middle-of-the-night โespโ experience is a telltale moment that convinces the singer that something is wrong, which leads him to confront his partner's deceitful behavior. The singer has discovered that his lover is seeing at least two guys behind his back, and in response, he sharpens up his senses and recognizes that it's time to move on.
The chorus repeats that it's all over now, marking the end of the relationship between the singer and his cheating partner. The lyrics are explicit in their criticism and disillusionment towards the woman, as the singer asserts the fact that heโs been hurt and wants her out of his life. The song is not just about the end of a relationship, but also about getting back control over oneself after a period of being misused and deceived. Overall, "Itโs Over Now" is a powerful break-up song, with soulful melody and devastatingly honest lyrics that convey the raw emotions of a love gone wrong.

humpty dumpty definitely took a FALL and got his head injured. He confused the that 90s era as the GOLDEN ERA of 1968 through 1980 of REAL R&B music.
