- Isaiah 61:3, NIV
Anyone who knows Lynda now will some time or another find themselves marveling at her bottomless supply of enthusiasm. Whether she is ministering to a large congregation, or one-on-one to a runaway teen, her joyful dedication to the Lord is always a source of encouragement and an infectious catalyst of growth. In November of 1989, Lynda married Mike Randle of Kansas City, Missouri. Mike's background growing up on the streets of Kansas City's inner-city and his dramatic conversion experience have given him a powerful voice to youth who find themselves in the same desperation that he knew on the street. The Randles enjoy the various occasions where they are able to minister together, Mike speaking and Lynda singing. Lynda and Mike have been blessed with two precious daughters, Patience and Joy. One of the remarkable things about Lynda's ministry is her ability to quickly build rapport with her audience and "draw them out" regardless of the type of group she is addressing. In fact, her message and music have proven to be truly cross-cultural.

While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
None other has ever known
He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He speaks to me
Within my heart is ringing
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
None other has ever known...
The song "In the Garden" by Lynda Randle is a hymn that captures the experience of a believer's personal and intimate relationship with God. The opening lines of the song describe the singer being in a garden alone when the dew is still on the roses. The garden represents a peaceful and personal place where the singer can commune with God. Then, she hears the voice of God, which reveals His identity as the Son of God who is disclosing Himself to her.
Further on in the song, the lyrics describe the personal interaction between the singer and God. As she walks with Him, she talks with Him, and He tells her that she is His own. The joy they share as they tarry there is a unique experience as no one else has ever known it. The singer hears the sweet sound of God's voice that causes even the birds to hush their singing. The melody that God speaks to her stirs her heart and causes it to ring within her.
Overall, the song says a lot about the importance of having a personal relationship with God. It highlights the beauty, peace, and the joy that comes with walking with God and experiencing personal fellowship with Him daily.
