The Garden
MILKK Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Weekend lover
Swollen eyelids
Smokers cough
Sitting in silence
Bugged out baby
Broken concrete
Spinning senseless
Empty backseat
I can't believe it's all for
I can't believe it's all for nothing
Weeds in the cracks on pavement
Pushing apart the rocks between them
Dying daylight
Wired and weary
Thinking of her
Looking through me
I can't believe it's all for
I can't believe it's all for nothing

Cigarette stains on cold hands
Intertwined within your fingers

Overall Meaning

In MILKK's song "The Garden," the lyrics depict a sense of disillusionment and emptiness in a relationship. The opening lines suggest a fleeting, temporary romance, with references to a "weekend lover" and physical symptoms like swollen eyelids and a smoker's cough. The image of sitting in silence further emphasizes the lack of communication or emotional connection between the two individuals.

The following lines introduce a sense of decay and deterioration. The phrase "bugged out baby" implies a disturbed or troubled state of mind, while "broken concrete" and "empty backseat" evoke a sense of abandonment and neglect. The repetition of "I can't believe it's all for nothing" throughout the song conveys a feeling of disbelief and disappointment, as if questioning the purpose or meaning behind the relationship.

As the lyrics progress, the imagery shifts to the presence of weeds in the cracks of pavement, symbolizing the gradual erosion and breakdown of the relationship. This image of nature reclaiming its space suggests that the connection between the two individuals is withering away. The mention of "dying daylight" further accentuates the sense of melancholy and fading hope. The phrase "wired and weary" indicates emotional exhaustion, while "thinking of her, looking through me" suggests a sense of being overlooked or undervalued.

Thanks for the information! I don't grow delicate foods because I gave up trying. But now my food trees aren't doing too well in the front yard. I happened upon your video by getting lost in YouTube looking how to create beautiful blooms.

I'm in sandy Florida soil. I'm getting black and white mildews on my coconut palm and my traveler's palm.

How about both...apple and peach tree, in containers grown espalier? Thanks for the information on using milk 🥛 how often do you feed/water with this solution?

Garden Days

Thanks. My wife and I found a site has apple trees that will give you 3 different apples on one tree. We may go with that. If you see powdery mildew use it but otherwise twice a season. The second time being when your tomatoes start turning red.
