Maddog (1972-1977) was a five-man outfit from the Dutch fisherman's town of Volendam, considered part of the so-called palingsound ('eel sound'). Their dรฉbut single, 'It's Gonna Be Better', was a modest Dutch chart success in June 1973. The band was frequently compared to their famous fellow Volendammers, The Cats. After the demise of Maddog, guitarist Jan Buys and drummer Ton Koning started the band Spryng.
