Madeline Juno was born on 11 August 1995. Her father is a drummer and her mother is a pianist.[1] She grew up in Offenburg-Griesheim in the Black Forest in Germany.[2] She graduated from Realschule in 2012[3] and went to Gymnasium in Lahr.[4] When she was 6, Madeline Juno was taught to play piano by her mother. At the age of 12, she started playing guitar and writing her own songs.[5]
Madeline Juno recorded her first songs and uploaded them on YouTube when she was 14.[5] In October 2012, she went on tour with Tom Beck,[6] and in September 2013, she was on tour with Philipp Poisel.[5] In 2013, Juno signed a record deal with Universal Music Group.[2] Juno's first single Error premiered on 14 September 2013 on YouTube.[7] The single was officially released on 1 November 2013.[8] Two weeks after its release, the single entered the German charts at position 63.[9] Her first album, called The Unknown, was originally scheduled to be released in January 2014,[10] but that date was postponed to 7 March 2014.[11] Juno performed her song Error on 23 November 2013 in the television show Verstehen Sie Spaß?.[12] She was one of the eight acts to compete in Unser Song für Dänemark, the German national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Denmark.[13] There she performed her song "Like Lovers Do" but she was voted out after the first round.[14] That song is also featured on the soundtrack of the film Pompeii.[15] She was part of the German jury for the final.[16]
On 11 August 2014, which was also her nineteenth birthday, she released a music video for the song "Always This Way".[17]
In 2015 Madeline Juno announced her new album, Salvation, which will be released in February 2016. Some days later she published the song Into the Night. Her first official single will be released in 2016 and is called Stupid Girl.

Can you see it?
You threw me in the landfill
Along with your shirt and my feelings
Tell me, did you ever even think about it?
Did you? Or was it just that easy to walk out on me?
Now that I can feel whatever I want
Now that I can go wherever I want
I don't feel like going anywhere at all
I got no words, I got no words
I got no words, I got no words
Now that I can say whatever I want
I can't think of anything that you deserve
I got no words
What about the damage you've done?
Can you see it?
You took all you wanted along with your ring and my feelings
Just tell me how you did it
You just froze me out and broke me right open
And now I don't wanna be found
Now that I can feel whatever I want
All I wanna do is feel numb
Now that I can go wherever I want
I don't feel like going anywhere at all
I got no words, I got no words
I got no words, I got no words
Now that I can say whatever I want
I can't think of anything that you deserve
I got no words
Please don't try to explain
Spare me your parade
No need to say you're sorry, sorry
Please don't try to explain
Spare me your parade
No need to say you're sorry, sorry
Cause I know you're not
Cause I know you're not
Now that I can feel whatever I want
All I wanna do is feel numb
Now that I can go wherever I want
I don't feel like going anywhere at all
I got no words, I got no words
I got no words, I got no words
Now that I can say whatever I want
I can't think of anything that you deserve
I got no words
The lyrics of Madeline Juno's song "No Words" appear to be about a broken relationship. The singer pleads with her former lover, asking if they can see the hurt they have caused her. She compares herself to being thrown in a landfill with her feelings, abandoned and forgotten. The singer further demands an explanation for their actions and if they ever thought about the damage they have done. Despite her newfound freedom to say whatever she wants, she cannot find the words to express her anger or sadness. The song is a poignant reflection on the end of a relationship and the difficulty of finding closure.
The repetition of "I got no words" throughout the song indicates a sense of helplessness in the singer's ability to articulate her feelings. The lyrics express a belief that sometimes, when we go through a devastating experience, it's hard to express the pain in words, or anything we say won't be sufficient. That feeling of being emotionally numb is something that can happen after a traumatic experience, such as a break-up or a loss, which the song alludes to.
