I'll Remember You

Long after this?
Endless summer is gone
I'll be lonely?.. oh so lonely
Living only to remember you
I'll remember You
Your voice as soft as the warm summer breeze
Ever after, I'll remember you
To your arms someday
I'll return to stay
Till then...
I will remember too
Every bright star we made wishes upon
Love me always, promise always
Ooooh, you'll remember too
To your arms someday
I'll return to stay
Till then...
I will remember too
Every bright star we made wishes upon
Love me always, promise always
Ooooh, you'll remember too
I'll remember you.
I'll remember you.
The Makaha Sons's song "I'll Remember You" is a poignant ballad about the lingering emotions of love that continue long after a relationship has ended. The song speaks to someone who is saying goodbye to a past love, acknowledging that the summer they shared is over but declaring that the memories will endure. The lyrics convey a sense of regret and sadness, as the singer contemplates the loneliness that lies ahead without the person they once loved.
The verse "I'll remember You / Your voice as soft as the warm summer breeze / Your sweet laughter, mornings after / Ever after, I'll remember you" describes the vivid impressions that remain of the person they once knew. The song suggests that the relationship was a happy one, filled with love and laughter, but it is over now. The bridge "To your arms someday / I'll return to stay / Till then... / I will remember too" expresses the hope that someday they will be reunited, but until then, they will hold on to the memories of their love.
Overall, "I'll Remember You" is a beautiful tribute to the lingering emotions of a lost love. The song's gentle melody and meaningful lyrics have made it a beloved classic that continues to resonate with listeners today.
