In 1994 Marie's two albums were released (their styles are latin-pop and acoustic rock): of the same name «Marie Claire D’Ubaldo» and «Alma de Barro», many songs from the latter album are Spanish versions of the songs from the former one. Along with these albums the singles «The Rhythm is Magic» and «My Father’s Eyes» were released as well the videos were shot on these songs. The albums had very big success in Italy, Japan, Russia and many other countries, near 250 000 copies have been sold all over the world. However these albums are not Marie's debut, as many consider, as long as in 1990 she released little known and rare album under the name «Marie Claire» which was distributed only in Japan. It's in this album the song «Burning Rivers» has appeared for the first time and afterwards it was included in the album of 1994.
In spite of the fact that since then Marie Claire hasn't released her solo albums, she wasn't stopping to write songs in co-authorship with other composers, though not for herself. She has participated as well in different projects as an invited vocalist (for instance Conjure One – «Manic Star»).
Among the most famous songs where she appears as co-author one can mention the following:
«Falling Into You» (for Celine Dion) - co-wrote with Rick Nowels and Billy Steinberg;
«I Have Always Loved You» (for Enrique Iglesias) - co-wrote with Billy Steinberg and Rick Nowels;
«One and One» (for Robert Miles)- co-wrote with Rick Nowels and Billy Steinberg;
«Intimacy» (for The Corrs) - co-wrote with Rick Nowels and Billy Steinberg;
«A Prayer for Everyone» (for Belinda Carlisle) - co-wrote with Rick Nowels and Billy Steinberg;
«Sleep» (for Conjure One)- co-wrote with Rick Nowels and Billy Steinberg;
«The Consequences of Falling» (for k.d. lang)- co-wrote with Rick Nowels and Billy Steinberg.
In 2009, after many-years' break she has released new singles with new versions of the song "The Rhythm Is Magic". At present she is living in Italy and recording some new tracks for the album to come.

Only Human
Marie Claire D'Ubaldo Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Mighty dreamers live no more
Locked away inside a memory
Left behind they seem to call
We have a voice that no one hears
Words are broken by the years
Don't blame us for your expectations
We're only human with our limitations
We're only human, human that way
How the future slowly disappears
Just a little more each day
In the ordinary world outside
Dreamers have no part to play
Don't blame us for your expectations
We're only human with our limitations
Standing here on these feet of clay
We're only human, human that way
And if we turn our backs and walk away
It's just because we've nothing left to say
Don't blame us for your expectations
We're only human with our limitations
Standing here on these feet of clay
We're only human, human that way
The song "Only Human" by Marie Claire D'Ubaldo speaks to the loss of childhood innocence and the disappointment that often comes with growing up. The lyrics describe how our childhood heroes, the people or ideas that we once looked up to, eventually fall and become nothing more than memories. The dreamers among us, those who dared to see the world differently, often find themselves locked away in these memories, no longer able to inspire or challenge us.
The song also touches on the idea that our voices aren't always heard, as our words are lost or broken over time. The expectation that we should somehow live up to the dreams and expectations of others can be overwhelming, but the reality is that we are only human, with our own limitations and imperfections. We stand on feet of clay, vulnerable and fragile, and we can't always be what others want us to be.
Despite the challenges and and disappointments we face, we are still human, and that is something worth cherishing. The future may not always be bright, and the world may not always be kind to dreamers, but that doesn't mean we should give up hope. The final stanza suggests that sometimes, we may simply have nothing left to say, and we may need to walk away. But even then, we must remember that we are only human, and we can only do so much.
