In some sectors of South African society, Ngema is considered a racist because of his controversial song, AmaNdiya (about racism that Blacks in KwaZulu-Natal have suffered at the hands of Indians). It was banned in the country soon after it was released in 2002, and even Nelson Mandela had asked Ngema to apologize but Ngema refused.
The Lord's Prayer

Be Thy Name
Our Father
Which art in
Which art in
Which art in heaven
Give us this day
Our daily bread
Hallowed
Be Thy Name
Our Father
Our Father which art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Our Father which art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Our Father which art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
For thine is thy kingdom
The power and the glory
For ever and ever amen
For thine is thy kingdom
The power and the glory
For ever and
Ooh our father must be happy where ever He is
You kids are just beautiful
Jesus just come down and listen to these voices
And
Did you hear that?
Ever
Shit
Amen
The lyrics of Mbongeni Ngema's song, The Lord's Prayer, convey a message of reverence and submission to God, as well as a plea for His divine intervention in daily life. The opening line "Hallowed be thy Name" is an acknowledgment of God's holiness and greatness, and a reminder of the need to praise and worship Him. The following lines "Our Father, which art in heaven" emphasize the personal relationship between the singer and God, even though he is addressing the Almighty.
The song then focuses on the petition for daily sustenance, as the singer implores God to provide "Our daily bread." This request is followed by a statement of surrender to God's will, as the singer asks for it to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. The repetition of the phrase "Hallowed be thy Name" emphasizes the theme of reverence and submission that runs throughout the song.
The final lines of the song acknowledge God's eternal kingdom, power, and glory, while the closing phrase "amen" represents a statement of agreement, loyalty, and faith.
