Born in New York to Cypriot parents, Metaxas is the eldest of four children. At the very young age of 3, Metaxas showcased a love for singing along to his dad’s favorite records. After spending most of his younger years with his family living in Cyprus, he moved to America at the age of 21 to hone his craft.
Metaxas’ determination and love of music culminated at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied Music Production and Engineering. It was there where his artistry reached its true potential. Metaxas now resides in London.
With musical influences like Jeff Buckley, John Mayer and Gotye, it is no surprise that Metaxas has mastered a writing style that is honest, sensitive and encompassing. Mixing his raw expressive lyrics with his gravelled, yet warm voice, Metaxas produces a magical union that is nothing short of captivating.
Change the World

Don't you cry
All the black is gone
There is only light
Everything will be alright
With you, with you
Little voices in your head
Pay attention to their every word
You can, you can
Centuries ago when someone you will never know
Thought he could make a change
Was working day and night
A constant battle with his mind
Still he was marching on
When everyone around him laughed
And never gave a damn about the things he said
A hundred years from then
That man, and everything he did,
Would change the whole wide world
You can, you can.
I know you can
Life is a tree of paths to take
Don't rush your choices
You can wait
Then go on, take the leap of faith
You can, you can
Centuries ago when someone you will never know
Thought he could make a change
Was working day and night
A constant battle with his mind
Still he was marching on
When everyone around him laughed
And never gave a damn about the things he said
A hundred years from then
That man, and everything he did,
Would change the whole wide world
You can, you can
I know you can
The song "Change The World" by Metaxas is an uplifting and inspiring song encouraging listeners to believe they have the power to make a difference in the world no matter who they are. The lyrics start with "Raise your head now, don't you cry. All the black is gone, there is only light. Everything will be alright." giving the message that things may seem bad now, but there is hope and that things will get better. The song then goes on to encourage listeners to pay attention to the little voices in their heads, telling them they have the power to change the world.
The song then goes on to describe a person from centuries ago who was laughed at and not taken seriously by those around him, but his determination to make a change would make all of the difference. The song concludes by reminding listeners that they too can make a difference, that life is full of different paths to take, and that they should not rush their choices, but to take a leap of faith.

Thx for Lyrics... Can you put chords + lyrics somewhere please
@alx20030
Yes, indeed Am adds a much sadder tone to it, that's pretty nice. Thanks for the correction :)
@1983johnnyplayer
the song's in C major. Am as the first chord in the chorus sounds good
@srouquie
News for chords ? ;)
@triantafyllosgames6732
C G C G C D Tuning :) The first arpeggios are 7th fret on 5th string and 5th fret on 4th string, take it from there
@rubemlausen8203
wow. Haha. 11 years later one new comment.
@alx20030
simple arpeggio of Cmaj and Fmaj for the intro - verse. Or you could just play the chords. And for the chorus the chords are C,G,F. That's pretty much it.. You can indeed enrich it more, but this should be enough though.
