Michael Bublé’s introduction to the music of the swing era came to him through his grandfather, who filled his grandson’s ears with the sounds of The Mills Brothers, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and others. As Bublé eagerly absorbed the recordings, he began to realize that he wanted to be a singer and that this style of music, virtually foreign to his own generation, was what he wanted to perform.
With his grandfather’s assistance, Bublé soon learned a whole catalog of tunes and gained experience and exposure by singing as a guest with several local bands. While still in his teen years, he won the Canadian Youth Talent Search, released several independent albums, and performed in a musical review titled Swing that traveled across the U.S. It wasn’t long before Bublé was introduced to Grammy-winning producer David Foster during a famous Canadian wedding of Brian Mulroney’s daughter Caroline Mulroney. He later signed his first major recording contract with Reprise Records after that encounter.
The two Canadians began work on a debut album that would incorporate Bublé’s aptitude for pop standards into songs that spanned several decades. His self-titled debut disc was released in early 2003, and featured jazzy takes on old standards like “Fever” and “The Way You Look Tonight” as well as newer classics like “Moondance” and “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart”.
He finished off 2003 with an EP of holiday material, Let It Snow, and began 2004 with the live CD/DVD set Come Fly With Me. In 2005, It’s Time was a number one hit in Canada, Japan, Italy, and Australia, and made the top ten of both the UK and US. Later that year he released the live album Caught in the Act. More recently, Michael received a 2010 Grammy Award for 'Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album' for 'Michael Bublé Meets Madison Square Garden.
Baby It's Cold Outside
Michael Bublé Lyrics

Baby, it's cold outside
I gotta go away
Baby, it's cold outside
This evening has been
Been hoping that you'd dropped in
So very nice
I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice
Beautiful, what's your hurry?
My father will be pacing the floor
Listen to that fireplace roar
So really I'd better scurry
Beautiful, please don't hurry
Well, maybe just a half a drink more
I'll put some records on while I pour
The neighbors might think
Baby, it's bad out there
Say, what's in this drink?
No cabs to be had out there
I wish I knew how
Your eyes are like starlight now
To break this spell
I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell
Why thank you
I ought to say no, no, no sir
Mind if move in closer?
At least I'm gonna say that I tried
What's the sense of hurting my pride?
I really can't stay
Baby, don't hold out
Baby, it's cold outside
Ah, you're very pushy, you know
I like to think of it as opportunistic
I simply must go
Baby, it's cold outside
The answer is no
But, baby, it's cold outside
The welcome has been
How lucky that you dropped in
So nice and warm
Look out the window at that storm
My sister will be suspicious
Gosh your lips look delicious
My brother will be there at the door
Waves upon a tropical shore
My maiden aunt's mind is vicious
Gosh your lips are delicious
Well, maybe just a cigarette more
Never such a blizzard before
And I don't even smoke
I gotta get home
Baby, you'll freeze out there
Say, lend me a comb?
It's up to your knees out there
You've really been grand
I feel when I touch your hand
But don't you see?
How can you do this thing to me?
There's bound to be talk tomorrow
Think of my life-long sorrow
At least there'll be plenty implied
If you caught pneumonia and died
I really can't stay
Get over that hold out
Baby, it's cold
Baby, it's cold outside
Okay, fine, just another drink then
That took a lot of convincing
The lyrics of Michael Bublé's "Baby It's Cold Outside" tell the story of a flirtatious encounter between two people on a cold winter night. The song showcases a playful back-and-forth between a man and a woman, with the woman expressing her desire to leave due to the cold weather, and the man trying to convince her to stay longer for his company.
In the first part of the song, the woman is hesitant to stay longer and lists reasons why she should go home, such as her mother worrying and her father pacing anxiously. The man, on the other hand, is persistent in his attempts to keep her, complimenting her and suggesting she have another drink. The woman questions the content of her drink, but the man brushes it off.
As the song continues, the man continues to woo and persuade the woman, insisting that she is beautiful and suggesting that she moves closer. The woman acknowledges her initial resistance but expresses her pleasure in his company and wants to spare his feelings. The dialogue between them highlights the tension between wanting to leave and feeling a connection.
In the end, the woman starts to consider staying longer, mentioning her suspicion of what others might say and her concern for the man's well-being. However, she still believes it's best to leave before things go too far. The man jokingly asks for another drink, and the woman, after some convincing, finally agrees.
Overall, "Baby It's Cold Outside" portrays a playful and teasing conversation between two individuals, navigating their desires while considering societal expectations and personal boundaries.

@@123axel123 depends on the stage of their relationship. He might have been reminiscing.
Either way, what we know for a fact is Frank Loesser wrote the song in 1944 for he and his wife to perform at parties. The theme has nothing to do with sexual assault, either. It's about a man urging his girlfriend/fiance to stay, rather than go out in a blizzard. For unmarried couples to spend the night together in that era was considered scandalous. The woman makes mention of it numerous times in the song, yet even she displays signs she wants to stay ("So really I'd better scurry... Well, maybe just a half a drink more").
This whole stupid thing hinges on one single line in the song ("-say, what's in this drink?"), which is about as vague as you can possibly get and entirely driven by modern perspectives of date rape drugs. Maybe she's a light weight? Maybe it was a particularly strong vintage? Notice that, unlike most people under a drug, she never loses her faculties ("I ought to say no-no-no sir... At least I'm gonna say that I tried.") She's already thinking about what she is going to say the next day to explain why she spent the night in case anyone asks, ffs.
Yet as much as she claims to protest, SHE keeps making the decision to stay ("My maiden aunt's mind is vicious... Well, maybe just a cigarette more.").
He wants her to stay and she wants to stay -- they're just pondering how it might look based on societal standards of the time.
This whole so-called rape connection is based in zero fact. You might as well try to get Somebody's Watching Me banned for promoting stalking.

Amazing! What a wonderful choreography! The act shows how little kids can portray grown ups at their best.
The director of this little show reminds me of the good old days.
The art of dancing and singing together with acting shows how wonderful God is.
I always consider God is the source of all our talents. The glory of man's ability to make things happen the way it should be is because everything is inspired by Him.
Once again, I am pretty much delighted of this short video clip . More power and may God bless us all. Happy holidays!!!

I like this music video by Michael SO MUCH MORE. The song comes off as light hearted and cute.
When you watch the original music video, it does seem a little creepy.
when she says "maybe just have a drink more"
the man points to a corner to get her to look there as he says "put some records on while I pour" and he grabs a glass that's already prepared on the table next to him quickly without making it obvious or looking at it, and distracting her by pointing to the opposite direction of where the drink is, telling her to "put some records on while I pour" so he can get it without her noticing.
that particular scene in the old music video version creeped me out.
then immediately he hands it to her the drink as she talks about what the neighbors might think. As she's about to sip, she stops before it touched her lips and says "say whats in this drink"
THE OLD MUSIC VIDEO IS SO BAD LOL OMG - I hope michael is trying to put more focus on the beauty of the song itself, to help people forget the original music video that was attributed to it.
Old music video: youtube.com/watch?v=7MFJ7ie_yGU
crazy how times change so drastically as to what is acceptable in society, and what isn't.
Edit: he even changed those lyrics. to "maybe one soda pop more". and the "say whats in this drink' changed to "say, was that a wink?"
they should have encouraged this version of the song, I bet nobody noticed these small changes he made so that the old implications of the song wouldn't apply to his version.
