Perhaps she isn't paying attention to the lyrics enough to know it's song about a man cheating on his wife and loving both woman, his loving wife who has always been faithful and good to him and his mistress who screws at night behind her back.

If she's relating with him, she's a cheater.
If she wasn't listening to what he was singing about and thought she was relating to someone who was cheated on, then of course, she's simply mistaken.

How you understand her relating to the singer as being a cheating POS lol by actually misunderstanding the song lyrics is beyond me. Perhaps it's something she's trying to explain in her SECOND comment AFTER I condemned her relating to a cheater. Pay attention!

He has 2 boys, I have 2 girls. We survived being a blended family. Our family came with total loons for ex spouses and confused kiddos. We came out stronger for it, I absolutely adore my husband. He's seriously the nicest man you'll ever meet. It's impossible to get mad at him. Seriously, it's really hard. He's got a huge heart.

I believe some of us were on the receiving end of this song and some on the taking side. It sounds rather romantic but when it happens it is so very painful. It is so sad to hold one man in your arms and loving another man that you cannot be with. It is the hardest thing I ever had to do. What happened to him. How did he pass away what was wrong with him I didn't hear it on the news or anyting. When he would come to Laughlin Nevada. I worked up in the Starview room and the dawn celebrity theater serving cocktails at his concerts. He was awesome Ray Price Merle Haggard and I can go on. I'm so sad he's gone. If you can let me know what happened to him. I would greatly appreciate it

I can't imagine having lived life without these wonderful country songs from the great US of A. They are the high octane fuel of human feelings. The key to being able to reminisce and contemplate the wonders of life. These songs so often tell a story reaching infinitely further than the actual duration of the lyrics. The modern so-called Rap Music has indeed the opposite effect on many of us and is a sad reflection of the society from where it emanates. The song "The Older I Get" by another hero of country music, Alan Jackson, has such bearing on these feelings.

ETC was absolutely a pure country singer & should have received every award out there, if posthumously. His beautiful, baritone voice is still unmatched; his soulful eyes never mirrored by any other. Earl Thomas is & was a beautiful soul whose golden voice with it's haunting melodies would entice us into his wounded heart for awhile, only to find us locked there til we could find release in a new dawn. That dawn broke sadly when we heard of his passing.. Go rest high, sweet soul. Know you brought joy & love to us. Always.
